Don’t think it went unnoticed among the Green Bay Packers’ hierarchy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is looking for a Drew Brees-type contract. It’s yet another reminder that the Packers probably are better off moving sooner rather than later on renegotiating Rodgers’ contract. Rodgers’ contract doesn’t run out until after the 2014 season, but he’s horribly underpaid at an average of $9.3 million a year, so the Packers appear more likely to address his contract this year, Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports. With a deal for Flacco possibly coming up, that could be incentive for the Packers to do a new contract with Rodgers first, because if Flacco gets anything like Brees money, Rodgers’ price only skyrockets. Packers may lock up Aaron Rodgers?

The Green Bay Packers may address quarterback Aaron Rodgers' contract situation over the offseason even though he still has two years left on his deal.

Packers expected to extend Aaron Rodgers’ contract this offseason

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Packers will likely extend quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ contract this offseason, instead of waiting until his contract is up after the 2014 season. The reason the Packers should get a deal done now instead of waiting is because once the Ravens extend Joe Flacco’s contract, it’s going to raise Rodgers’ price, since he’s a better...

Aaron Rodgers Attends The Pre-SAG Awards

How did I end up at the Pre-Sag awards Juan… Yes, there are Pre-SAG awards and Aaron Rodgers looks chill with Craig Robinson.  Rodgers might have been knocked out of the playoffs earlier than he was expecting, but all indications are that he and the Packers offense will be a force once again in 2013.  Expect Rodgers to be the first QB off the board in fantasy drafts once again...

Joe Flacco signs endorsement deal with Haribo Gold Bears

Joe Flacco got himself a very sweet endorsement deal. (Photo courtesy of Haribo) It’s only fitting that the spotlight is shining a bit brighter on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Leading your team to the Super Bowl will have that effect. It also means Flacco can help his wallet by signing some shiny new endorsement deals. Flacco’s list of endorsement deals now includes...

Joe Flacco walks the Super Bowl streets unnoticed

According to Pat O'Brien and Steve Hartman of the Fox Sports Loose Canons Radio Show, they walked out of their hotel last evening in New Orleans to attend dinner. Who would they see walking down the street? A tall figure walking with a much shorter man. As they walked closer they were able to identify at least one of the men as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. One...

Reports: Flacco wants $20 million per year

Joe Flacco might soon cash in on his Super Bowl run. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback hopes to negotiate a new contract that will pay him $20 million per season, according to multiple media reports. Such a deal would put him in the financial ballpark with two one-time Super Bowl winners: Peyton Manning, who has a five-year, $96 million deal; and Drew Brees, who has a five-year...

Super Bowl Gambling: Joe Flacco

Who is ready for more Super Bowl 47 odds? Earlier we talked Super Bowl MVP odds. Now I want to concentrate on Joe Flacco specific prop bets. There are a ton of different bets that have to do with touchdowns, of course. Here are some of my favorites. First, I want to talk about Joe Flacco. Total TD Passes – Joe Flacco (BAL) 1 Touchdown (+175) 2 Touchdowns (+250) 3 Touchdowns (+450...

Joe Flacco Calls New Jersey Super Bowl “Retarded”

This post season Joe Flacco has been making great decisions on the field, but his comments off the field about next year’s Super Bowl might come back to bite him. When asked, the Ravens’ quarterback proceeded to rip the idea of a cold-weather game as reported be the NY Post. “I think it’s retarded,” Flacco said at yesterday’s press conference before catching himself...

Joe Flacco’s rep’s reportedly believe he’s better than Peyton Manning

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, contract talks between the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco’s reps will ramp up after the Super Bowl. Flacco’s reps have told Rapoport that they believe he’s playing better than Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning who’s currently earning $8 million per season.  He expects Flacco’s agents to shoot higher than Manning’s...

Ravens QB Joe Flacco Strongly Against Cold Weather Super Bowls

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco didn't mince words when asked about the idea of cold weather site hosting the Super Bowl in an open air venue. Flacco, who will make his Super Bowl debut in the domed confines of the Superdome in New Orleans, is a native of New Jersey, but doesn't like the idea of Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford as a Super Bowl host next year...

Flacco no fan of cold-weather Super Bowl

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco apologized for his word selection in criticizing the NFL's decision to hold next year's Super Bowl in an outdoor stadium at a cold-weather site. On Monday, Flacco was asked about the game being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. ''I think it's retarded. I probably shouldn't say that. I think it's stupid,...

Joe Flacco aiming for a $20 million per year contract

Jim Racalto I remember last year when the whole football world chuckled at Joe Flacco’s agent calling him elite. The joke is no longer on Jersey Joe, as he’s played at the highest level we’ve ever seen from him while leading the Baltimore Ravens to the brink of a championship. If he wins the Super Bowl after beating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road, EPSN’s John...
