Clipped from: www.espnmilwaukee.com (share this clip) Packers add Wilhelm, Briggs; Poppinga, Neal placed on IR: The Packers’ linebacker-palooza Tuesday landed them Diyral Briggs and Matt Wilhelm and the team might add yet another one on Wednesday. The Packers claimed Briggs on waivers from the Broncos and also signed Wilhelm, who has been out of the NFL since playing 11 games for the San Francisco 49ers last season. To make room on the roster for Briggs and Wilhelm, the Packers released linebacker Maurice Simpkins and put defensive end Neal and linebacker Poppinga on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.  They now have 52 players on the roster. That extra roster spot could go to veteran cornerback Harris or safety Bigby, both of whom began practicing last week and are eligible to be activated from the physically unable to perform list.
