Packers P Tim Masthay has been excellent in special team. Special teams wraps up our midseason Packers grades report. I feel like parent-teacher conferences are now over and it’s time for the student (the Packers) to try and find a way to get an ‘A’ on the final report card while the parents (Packers fans) keep nagging the kids to get their homework done and turn off the video games. If you missed it, here are our grades for the offense and defense. Kickoffs: A- When the Packers are kicking off, it’s usually a good time to grab a snack or refill your beverage. Out of Mason Crosby’s 47 kickoffs, 26 have went for touchbacks, ranking the Packers 10th in touchback percentage. When opponents do return it, they don’t go far, averaging only 24.4 yards with a long of 38. This unit also forced a fumble that should’ve ended the game against New Orleans, but the refs botched the call. It appeared that Crosby had at least one angle kickoff against the Cardinals where he tried to use the sidelin...

While the Green Bay Packers have ruled linebacker Clay Matthews and wide receiver Greg Jennings out for Sunday’s contest against the Detroit Lions, wide receiver Jordy Nelson “appears a safe bet to play,” according to ESPN Wisconsin. Aaron Rodgers Won’t Tell us He’s Engaged

No comment T… Aaron Rodgers spent last Saturday night watching his brother play quarterback for Vanderbilt University, but it was the ring on his girlfriend’s finger that ended up drawing attention to his personal life. We broke the engagement story about a month ago, but initially reported on it back in July  “My personal life is my personal life,” Rodgers said. “It...

Speculation on this topic has run rampant after Rodgers and Newton were seen watching Aaron's younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, help Vanderbilt pull out a win against Kentucky this last weekend...

Aaron Rodgers On ESPN Wisconsin Radio Show: Nope, No Big News To Share From Bye Week

Tramon Williams calls himself Optimus Prime, says Calvin Johnson pushed Richard Sherman around

Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams is apparently not very original. Earlier this week, Williams dubbed himself “Optimus Prime” in anticipation of his upcoming matchup against Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, a.k.a. Megatron. That sounds awfully familiar. A few weeks ago, Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman changed his Twitter name to Optimus Prime for...

Packers-Lions Preview

Though their bye week seemed to come at a good time, the Green Bay Packers are still plenty banged up. Far from full strength despite a week off, the Packers can win a fifth straight game Sunday as it visits the Detroit Lions, who can't afford many more disappointments if they plan on returning to the playoffs. Recent history favors Green Bay, which is 11-1 against the Lions...
