Packers RB Cedric Benson Could Miss Rest Of The Season With Injury -Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson is expected to be out at least eight weeks and possibly more with a Lisfranc foot injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported via Twitter Monday night. The Packers had already ruled out Benson for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, one day after he was carted off the field during a 30-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Benson has carried the ball 71 times this season for 248 yards, and he has scored one touchdown. A lengthy absence for Benson would be a blow for a Packers offense that already struggles moving the ball on the ground, as it ranks 19th in the NFL in that category. At 2-3, the Packers have slumped to a disappointing overall start. Benson signed a one-year deal with the Packers in August after spending the previous four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He has rushed for 1,000 yards or more each of the past three seasons.Original Story Here!
