Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant suffered a bruised kidney in Sunday's win at Chicago.
It is unclear whether Grant will be able to play in next week's game against Denver.
Grant had his best game of the season against the Bears, rushing for 92 yards on 17 carries. He has been splitting time with James Starks.
Grant played in only one game last season for the reigning Super Bowl champions before undergoing surgery for an injured ankle.
He had played in all 16 games in the previous two seasons, rushing for back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons.
