Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant believes that the current two-game suspension for Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is 'absurd.'
Suh was suspended by the league Tuesday for shoving Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith’s head into the turf and stomping on him on Thanksgiving Day. Suh, who has an appeal pending, was punished without pay - costing him $164,000.
"I sort of thought (the suspension) was going to be a little bit longer. But at the end of the day, do I think it needs to be longer? Yeah, I do. I think it's absurd," Grant told WSSP in Milwaukee.
"It was about as overboard as you can get what he did; it's just not football. Can't have that. It was ridiculous, and it's not something you want to see regardless. I'm not a fan of the apology, I'm not a fan of what he said. Anybody in hindsight can say all that, but we're talking about something that's not exactly a first occurrence."

Schedule points to continued collapse by Lions, Giants
When Florio and I previewed the NFC playoff picture on Monday, neither one of us included the Lions. That’s not just because of Ndamukong Suh’s suspension. It’s because of their schedule.
