Fox Sports Wisconsin:
GREEN BAY, Wis. Packers rookie running back Alex Green will have surgery Wednesday to repair the torn ACL in his left knee.
Green, a third-round pick out of Hawaii, posted on Twitter that his expected recovery time will take between 4-8 months.
The injury happened when the back of Green's knee was rolled up as he was blocking on a kickoff return Week 7 in Minnesota.
Although Green had only three carries for 11 yards this season, he said he was about to be given more opportunities in the running game.
Green was placed on injured reserve soon after the injury, but his recovery time would suggest that he'll be ready for training camp next season.
