GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers fans will be chanting "Kuuuuuhn" at Lambeau Field for at least one more season.
John Kuhn, the Packers' popular fullback who's been with the franchise since 2007, re-signed with Green Bay on Thursday to a one-year deal worth just over $1 million.
At 31 years old, Kuhn will once again be one of the oldest players on the Packers' roster -- and one of only a few who are older than 30. But, throughout his seven seasons in Green Bay, especially in recent years, Kuhn has proved his value to the Packers by having a great understanding for coach Mike McCarthy's offense and being a very good blocker. Never was that more evident than on Green Bay's game-winning (and division-clinching) touchdown pass in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears when Kuhn interrupted the pass rush of Julius Peppers (who is now his teammate) to give Aaron Rodgers enough time to launch the long throw to Randall Cobb.
