Considering the drunk driving epidemic that has taken a hold of the NFL this offseason — and subsequently cost one player his job — it’s time for somebody to step up and deliver a message.
The time has come, and that somebody is T.J. Lang.
On Sunday, the Packers guard tweeted out the following to his fellow NFL players, emphasizing the need for a cab should they go out drinking.
Dear co-workers.. These are pretty cheap.. Try one out twitter.com/TJLang70/statu…

It’s definitely a valid point. With the amount of money players are making, a cab would cost peanuts and potentially prevent an unnecessary run-in with police, or worse. The league also has a car service available, which runs 24 hours a day and is always at the disposal of those who choose to spend their downtime throwing a few (too many) back.

How Long Does it Take A Running Back to Recover From An ACL Injury?
Surprisingly, one of the biggest concerns from Packers fans is depth at running back (personally I would have put safety as my top concern). Fans are worried that the combination of James Starks, Alex Green and Brandon Saine may not be enough to take pressure off Aaron Rodgers and the passing game. One thing that I think fans have missed is that Alex Green isn’t exactly ready...
Packers fans have learned to love Thompson
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Any discussion about Packers general manager Ted Thompson used to be a hotly contested debate. Many fans were upset Thompson had the audacity to oust Brett Favre from the job he held with great success for 16 years. Others had become fed up with Favre's will-he-or-won't-he retirement act every summer and applauded Thompson's courage to move in a new...

New faces on defense could boost Packers
Under general manager Ted Thompson, the Green Bay Packers always have looked first to the draft as the right way to build a contender. That philosophy was readily apparent in the way Thompson tried to fix one of the league's leakiest defenses this offseason.
The Packers took defensive players with their first six picks in April, including outside linebacker Nick Perry and defensive...

Packers poised to rule NFC North, but who's second?
With the start of the NFL season fast approaching, we continue our look around the league division by division with a stop in the NFC North, where we have a pretty good idea which team will finish first and an even better idea which team will finish last, but the middle of the division is more interesting.
The cream of the division is, of course, the Green Bay Packers, who sported...
