Green Bay Packers
In the unofficial start to the second half of the NFL season for the Green Bay Packers following the team's bye week, the schedule-makers begin to serve up a heapin' plateful of NFC North Division opponents. Five of the Pack's final seven games are within the division. The NFL has finally decided to create a schedule that keeps things interesting right until the end of the season. First up for the Packers is the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. The Packers are 6-3 and the Lions are 4-5. The Pack is favored by 3-1/2 points. This is a huge game for both teams. With a win, the Packers will go to 7-3 and thus will likely be tied for the division lead with Da Bearz who, especially without QB Jay Cutler, will likely be on the losing end of their game with San Francisco Monday night. Actually, because the Pack beat Chicago in their first meeting, Green Bay holds the tiebreaker and actually would be in first place based upon that factor. If the Pack loses today, and Da Bearz also los...

Packers TE Jermichael Finley
Jermichael Finley is a subject for heavy debate among Packers fans.
When a player is under performing, it’s acceptable to be critical of him. And through nine games, Finley’s seven drops and lackluster performance were certainly deserving of criticism.
But when that same player turns in a key performance that helps his team win, credit is due.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers looks down the field against the Lions on Sunday
It was ugly but when it comes to winning division games, the Green Bay Packers will take any kind of victory.
In their 24-20 win over the Detroit Lions, the Packers made enough plays on defense plus one spectacular Randall Cobb catch late in the fourth quarter to come out on top to go to 7-3 on the season and...
The Green Bay Packers snatched a victory from the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon.
Aaron Rodgers’ touchdown pass to Randall Cobb with just less than two minutes to go in the game was the game winner and improved the Packers to 7-3 and increased their winning streak to five games.

It was a win the Packers needed for many reasons, and they got it. Now at 7-3 with a 2-0 record in the division, Green Bay -- with four more games remaining against the NFC North -- controls its own playoff future throughout the rest of the season. It also sends Detroit (4-6) into a nearly impossible situation of making the postseason, therefore turning it into a three-team race...
The Green Bay Packers are sticking with struggling kicker Mason Crosby.
Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters after the Packers' 24-20 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday that the team won't ''blink'' in its commitment to Crosby.
Crosby has missed seven of the 18 field goals he's attempted so far this season. His 61 percent accuracy rate is second...
RB Alex Green still has value to the Packers this season.
It looks like James Starks has passed Alex Green on the Packers’ depth chart, but that doesn’t mean Green won’t get his opportunities.
Think back to when Ted Thompson drafted Green in the third round in 2011. Most people didn’t peg the Hawaii running back as a guy who’s going to carry the ball 25 times per game...
Packers RB Cedric Benson is aiming to return to the team around December 16, according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin.
“Cedric had the opportunity to have some testing done (recently) and everything’s positive. His rehab has picked up,” said head coach Mike McCarthy. “We’ll see where we are next week. We don’t have a startup date exactly when he’s going to be ready...
Aaron Rodgers is a pretty sensitive guy.
Maybe not quite as sensitive as his interview on “60 Minutes” made him seem, but a caring and compassionate person nonetheless. Rodgers showed off his sensitive side yet again recently, as the Green Bay Packers quarterback teamed up with the MACC — Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer — Fund to help raise awareness for the work...
M.D. Jennings caught the deflected pass, and there was no doubt about this interception.
Then it was simply a matter of how far he could return it.
''The ball was tipped and I was in the right position to make a play on the ball,'' the Green Bay defensive back said. ''I saw a bunch of offensive lineman. I was like `Man, I can't let an offensive lineman...
Randall Cobb led Green Bay in receiving Sunday with 74 yards on nine catches.Fantasy Spin:He hauled in the game-winning touchdown on a 22-yard strike from Aaron Rodgers with a minute and 55 seconds remaining in the game. It was Cobb's sixth touchdown in his last four games. At this point, we'd consider the second-year receiver a must-start.
Packers TE Jermichael Finley came up big with two clutch catches in the Packers’ 24-20 win over the Lions.
Big test for the Packers on the offensive line as Evan Dietrich-Smith gets the start at left guard with Bryan Bulaga on IR. T.J. Lang moves from left guard to right tackle.
Will we see Suh Stomp II: Electric Bugaloo today?
WR Jarrett Boykin...
Week 11 is here, and so are we with another round of sleepers for your Week 11 fantasy football lineups.
You still have plenty of time to set your rosters for Sunday. Take a few minutes and see if any of these guys are available.
James Starks, Green Bay Packers
In the Packers last game, Starks was handed the ball more times than starter Alex Green and is now reportedly the Packers’...
This Sunday the Lions welcome in the Green Bay Packers to Ford Field as Detroit looks to string some wins together in hopes of making a late season run at the playoffs. However this is certainly a Packers team that has found itself after a 2-3 start to the season. Since then Green Bay has turned in an impressive win in Houston and taken care of business with St. Louis, Jacksonville...
The Detroit Lions have watched Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers rise to league stardom on the field -- and off the field, with the endless "Discount Double Check" commercials. Although they have respect for their NFC counterparts, as one Lions defender stated, "there's no love lost between the two of us."
