Packers wide receiver Christian Watson marries college sweetheart in Malibu

Watson is entering his third year with the Packers. During the 2023 NFL season, Watson played in just nine games and caught 28 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns. In his rookie season (2022), Watson caught 41 passes for 611 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.

Before the start of the 2023 season, Watson spoke to PFF about playing with Love who was taking over as starting quarterback for Aaron Rodgers. “People need to understand that [Love] was learning and practicing and in the meeting rooms with a Hall of Fame quarterback each and every day,” Watson said.

“He’s his own quarterback, but I’m sure he’s taken so many things from Aaron [Rodgers]. We’ve seen a lot of flashes of what he can do. It’s only going to be put more on display. Everything we’ve seen so far is only going to be multiplied. We’re ready to go out there and ball. We have full confidence in him.”

In November, Love spoke to reporters about his message to Watson, who was struggling with injuries and production. “My message to Christian is just keep your confidence, don’t let any of that stuff ever [make] your confidence waver or anything like that,” Love said, per ESPN. “I got complete trust in Christian. I know he knows this, but I trust all my receivers. The ball’s going to come out regardless. Just keep that confidence.”
