GREEN BAY, Wis. -- This is not going to be just another regular-season game. No, the Packers' upcoming matchup with the New York Giants means far more to coach Mike McCarthy's group than the win or loss that will come from it. It was the Giants who ended what was nearly a perfect season from Green Bay in 2011. A dominant Packers offense that led the NFL in scoring could muster only 20 points, while Eli Manning lit up the scoreboard for 37 points. It was a beatdown at Lambeau Field, one that finished Green Bay's season in devastating and unexpected fashion. Even if the Packers win the rematch that will take place Sunday night in New York, it won't make up for that loss 10 months ago. No Week 12 game can ever trump a win-or-your magical-season-is-over playoff matchup. But beating the Giants would be a significant hurdle for Green Bay to clear in order to reach the Super Bowl this season, one year after the team seemed destined to make a deep run at winning a second con...

Jermichael Finley vents about his problems with Aaron Rodgers again

The more he talks, the more Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley makes himself sound like the scorned ex-girlfriend of Aaron Rodgers. There was a point in time a few years back where it looked like Finley could emerge as Rodgers’ favorite target and one of the best tight ends in the league. Now, any day with multiple catches is an above average one for the former Texas...

Recovered from rough start, Packers back on top

It wasn't too long ago that the Green Bay Packers were in a bad place, lagging at the bottom of the NFC North with a - gasp! - losing record while folks picked apart their flaws as if they were some sideshow on Dr. Phil. Well, well. Look at them now. A five-game winning streak that's tied for best in the NFL has the Packers (7-3) atop their division and in position to start...

Aaron Rodgers Plays Keyboard, Jumps on Trampoline While Visiting Young Packers Fan Fighting Cancer (Video)

Aaron Rodgers is a pretty sensitive guy. Maybe not quite as sensitive as his interview on “60 Minutes” made him seem, but a caring and compassionate person nonetheless. Rodgers showed off his sensitive side yet again recently, as the Green Bay Packers quarterback teamed up with the MACC — Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer — Fund to help raise awareness for the work...

Green Bay Packers: Week 12 NFL Power Rankings (#13)

Record: 7-3 Last week: 13 (+0) Of course, the one year I won’t shut up about things that happen every year is the one year they might not happen. Every year, one team goes from out of the playoffs to a first round bye. Well, the only team that is a candidate to do that is Chicago, who sits at 7-3, 2 games back of Atlanta, ½ game back of San Francisco, who has the tiebreaker, and...

The injury-plagued Packers are seeking a sixth straight victory...
