The Packers are interested in bringing back running back Ryan Grant but won't make him an offer until after free agency starts. The veteran is open to returning but wants to find a place where he's a good fit, his agent told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Grant ended last season with 559 rush yards on 134 carries with two touchdowns along with 19 receptions for 268 yards and another score. Grant broke his fibula and severely sprained his ankle in 2010 and was banged up early on in 2011, which limited his production. Grant turns 30 this December but has just 924 career carries and has averaged 4.38 yards per carry over his last three regular seasons.

2011 Packers Yearbook: Green Bay Packer Player Most Likely to Have a Breakout Season in 2012:
(Be sure to place your vote in the poll below.)
Adam: Bryan Bulaga. We usually think of a skill player when talking about breakout seasons. That’s not fair to the offensive lineman. Look for Bulaga to take the next step in 2012.
Al: Matt Flynn is probably the correct answer, but there’s...
Matt Flynn: magic or myth?
Lighting in a bottle, that’s what NFL teams do during free agency. What a player does in one system doesn’t instantly make them great in another. The hottest quarterback prospect this year outside of Peyton Manning is Matt Flynn from the Green Bay Packers, and teams are betting that he’s more magic than myth.
Matt Flynn is this year’s version of Kevin Kolb, a quarterback...
Packers still interested in Grant
The Green Bay Packers are interested in bringing free agent running back Ryan Grant but not till they let him test the market. His agent, Alan Herman, thinks that a market will setup back for the back but he’s not sure what that will bring for his client.
“He will hit free agency,” Herman said Tuesday. “But they gave us an indication they would like to have him back. I have...
Aaron Rodgers surprises Miss America at Bucks game
Miss America finally got her chance to meet one of the NFL's most talented quarterbacks.
When former Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler was introduced during the nationally-televised Miss America pageant in January, she gave a shout out to the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. After she won the crown and attended the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, fans and reporters...
Robert Griffin III and Peyton Manning Killed Packers’ Chances at Trading Matt Flynn
Matt Flynn will hit the open market March 13th.
The deadline for franchising players has come and gone without the Packers tagging Matt Flynn. While Ted Thompson may have worked hard to complete a trade that would provide a team with exclusive negotiating rights to Flynn, it appears that Robert Griffin III and Peyton Manning ultimately killed the market for Flynn.
The four most likely...

Green Bay Packers draft: mocking the first couple picks
The Green Bay Packers led the NFL in passing yards allowed last season. Therefore, they’re going to focus on DBs and and pass-rushers first and foremost in the 2012 NFL draft right? Not so fast my friend. What about a tight end if Jermichael Finley leaves? What about the running back situation?
Then we must consider the fact that Ted Thompson is as much a “value GM” as there...
Miss America finally meets Mr. (Aaron) Rodgers
Miss America Laura Kaeppeler showed off her considerable talents by signing the national anthem prior to Milwakee Bucks' home game on Monday Night.
The former Miss Wisconsin then retreated to her guest suite at the Bradley Center before receiving an unexpected knock at the door.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers greeted her and shared a few moments during the intermission...

NFL rewind: Brett Favre 3 games, 3 INTs, 3 retirements
Brett Favre. Perhaps his greatest strength was his greatest weakness. In a survival of the fittest like tactic from the days of the Wild West, for 20 years Favre brought his gunslinger mentality to various cities throughout the NFL. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t, but the fact of the matter remains that when Favre
Packers played it safe but lost an asset
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It would have been a risky move. It would have bent the rules. As the NFL franchise tag deadline expired Monday, it turned out that Packers general manager Ted Thompson was simply not willing to conduct business that way.Instead, Thompson let quarterback Matt Flynn become an unrestricted free agent. Now, the best Green Bay can receive when Flynn signs elsewhere...
NFL Draft Medical Report: Jared Crick, DT, Nebraska
Past drafts are littered with players like former Green Bay Packer defensive tackle Justin Harrell. A slightly undersized and injury prone defensive lineman, the Packers drafted him in the first round in the 2007 draft. Harrell unquestionably had a good deal of talent, but he only played in two games his senior year, raising some serious red flags. In his four years in the NFL Harrell...
