Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is listed as doubtful for this Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons because of an ankle injury. Stewart sat out last weekend's 27-21 setback in Kansas City and has not practiced all week with a lingering ankle injury he sustained in a Week 12 victory over Philadelphia. Over nine games this season, Stewart has carried the ball 93 times for 336 yards and a touchdown. Source: The Sports Network Attached Thumbnails

Anonymous players say Cam Newton was "a total ---hole" at 2012 Pro Bowl

As we're coming close to the end of the season and the 2013 Pro Bowl, a story about a certain rookie quarterback at last year's Pro Bowl has surfaced, albeit a tad late. Seems like a few unnamed players didn't like the way then-rookie quarterback Cam Newton acted, according to Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com.

Panthers QB Cam Newton was targeted and possibly hazed at 2012 Pro Bowl

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton has been in the headlines quite a bit during his sophomore season, and unfortunately for him, none of it has been good news.During last year’s Pro Bowl, Newton was knocked around a bit by a pass rush that usually doesn’t happen, he was sacked (which hardly ever happens), and he threw three interceptions.  Needless to say it was not a great day...

Cam Newton: I could care less about stats

The 2012 season has been a trying one for Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. A 6-10 season in 2011 showed signs of promise for Panthers fans, who expected their team to be in playoff contention this year. That has not happened, and much of the blame has fallen on Newton’s shoulders. Last season, Newton lit up the stat sheet and set a number of NFL rookie quarterback records...

Johnny Manziel stands in front of Cam Newton's portrait at Heisman Trophy ceremony.

2010 Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton wasn't in New York tonight as Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was named the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner. He was preparing for the Carolina Panthers game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. That didn't stop Newton from being there for the ceremony in spirit as Manziel stood on the podium in front of the former Auburn QB'...

Panthers say Matt Ryan ‘totally disrespected’ them in first meeting

The Carolina Panthers may be out of the playoff hunt, but they have plenty to motivate them against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend. The Falcons are a far superior team, but they needed a miraculous comeback to beat the Panthers in Week 4. After leading the improbable come-from-behind victory, Matt Ryan apparently was not friendly to his division rival. Several Carolina players...

Panthers’ Greg Hardy says they’re better than the Falcons

According to Steve Reed of the Associated Press, Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy said that they are better than the Falcons. Panthers DE Greg Hardy says Panthers are a better team than the Falcons. No, really. He said it. — Steve Reed (@SteveReedAP) December 5, 2012 Well we are at the time during the regular season when players from around the NFL seem to be in denial with the...

Greg Hardy Believes Panthers Are Better Than The Falcons

It’s probably easy for the Carolina Panthers to wonder what could have been with their season had it not been for a gut-wrenching 30-28 loss at the Georgia Dome in Week 4. The Panthers had the game won before collapsing in the final seconds allowing the Falcons to kick a game-winning field goal after a Hail Mary from their own end zone. It’s just one of several close losses for...

Report: Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was “a total @#!hole.”

Some unnamed NFL players are criticizing Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for having a “diva” attitude. CBS Sports’ Senior NFL Columnist Pete Prisco is reporting that the grudge actually dates back to the way Newton acted around players and their families during the 2012 Pro Bowl last January. “He was a total @#!hole,” one AFC player said. “Who did he think...

Panthers Could Have Numerous Starters Out This Week

Thursday practice is in the books, and it doesn't look good for the Carolina Panthers. Releasing their injury report, the Panthers have a rash of big-name injuries heading into the weekend, and while Ron Rivera hopes at least half of them are available, it's not looking good. Brandon LaFell, Jonathan Stewart, James Anderson, Charles Godfrey abd Dwan Edwards all did not...

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers: Week 14 NFL Pick

Atlanta Falcons (11-1) at Carolina Panthers (3-9) I really like using trends to pick NFL games. Not all games have the same weight on a team’s schedule and games don’t always mean the same thing for the teams playing it. This is why upsets happen. However, there aren’t any really good ones in play here, except this. Teams are 49-37 ATS as home favorites after a loss as road...

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers point spread, line and odds

The Atlanta Falcons will play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST. Despite the Falcons being 11-1 the jury remains out on whether they are a true Super Bowl contender or just a team that looks pretty in Week 14. Their opponent on Sunday, Carolina has been inconsistent all season on offense. So who is favored in the Falcons versus Panthers game? The Falcons will...
