PLAYERS: Greg Olsen
TEAMS: Carolina Panthers
Pro Football Talk reports that a league source has informed them that the Carolina Panthers have restructured the contact of TE Greg Olsen on Friday. Olsen, 27, was set to make a $3.75 million base salary in 2012. $3 million of that figure has been converted into an option bonus and the remaining $750,000 will be paid out as his base salary for the upcoming season. This move is expected to free up  $2.4 million in much needed cap space for the Panthers. More moves will be coming in the next few days as NFL teams work to get down the 2013 salary cap of $230 million.
