Veteran wide receiver Steve Smith is showing no signs of slowing down as he continues his march toward possibly becoming the first Panther in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Smith's latest 100-yard receiving game Sunday against Atlanta was the 43rd of his career, putting him in the top 10 in NFL history.
He currently ranks 26th all-time in yards receiving and 32nd in receptions.
And while those numbers might not be quite good enough to earn him a bronze bust in Canton, Ohio, those who best know the 33-year-old best say he's far from finished.
Coach Ron Rivera says Smith ''still plays like he's 22.''
Smith is in his 12th NFL season and again leads Carolina in receptions and enters Sunday's game against San Diego with 999 yards receiving.

Cam Newton fails expectations with redemption set for 2013
Isaac Newton once wrote “For every action, there is a reaction.” and no quarterback has had a bigger reaction from fans or foes than Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. Even after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2010 and NCAA Football Championship in 2011. Newton has been compared to everything from Jamarcus Russell to Ben Roethlisberger, but Cam Newton is Cam Newton and...
The Panthers took a huge step backwards this season and the coach is going to pay the price. A look at Head Coaches in trouble this offseason.
The Carolina Panthers looked like an exciting young team last season. This season they've looked lost and underachieved on offense.
As we get closer to the end of the season it's time to start looking ahead to the coaching changes for next year.
Here's a quick look at the teams I think will, or should, be looking for a coaching change when the season ends.

Jonathan Stewart Ruled Out For Week 15
Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is out for Sunday's game against San Diego with an ankle injury.Fantasy Spin:Stewart suffered a left high-ankle sprain and has missed Carolina's last two games. Coach Ron Rivera said Brandon LaFell was closer to returning than Stewart and with a healthy DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert there was no reason to rush Stewart back into the lineup.
Brandon LaFell 50/50 To Play
Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell (foot, toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against San Diego. Coach Ron Rivera called it 50-50 when asked about the chance of Lafell playing.Fantasy Spin:Not only does LaFell have a turf toe injury, he's also dealing with a chipped bone in his foot. Louis Murphy will start if LaFell is inactive and caught five balls for 36 yards last week.
Greg Hardy rips ‘small, weird-shaped’ Falcons kicker
There was something of a controversy that came about following the Panthers' upset victory over the Falcons last Sunday, when Carolina defensive end Greg Hardy told Falcons players to "get the f**k off our field."
Proving payback is indeed a female dog, it was the same comment quarterback Matt Ryan made after Atlanta's Week 4 win.
Though, as we've come...
Panthers DE Greg Hardy: Matt Bryant is small and weird-shaped
Following the Carolina Panthers’ 30-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Carolina defensive end Greg Hardy had some unfriendly words for the Falcons players when telling them to get off the field. Hardy made the comments as a direct response to Matt Ryan, who the Panthers say was disrespectful to them after the two teams met earlier this season.
As you can see in this video...

Another team that has been better than their record all season, the Panthers showed it last week, beating the Falcons, who they almost knocked off earlier this season. Week 16, they host the Raiders, which should get them their 5th win of the season, but I don’t know...
Carolina Panthers at San Diego Chargers: Week 15 NFL Pick
Carolina Panthers (4-9) at San Diego Chargers (5-8)
I picked the Chargers to win at home against the Ravens and Bengals respectively in week 12 and 13 because, among other reasons, they always start playing really well at this point in the season, even when their season has been lost. Well, they couldn’t quite close the deal in either of those games, though they made it close and...
Back to the Norm
I knew that it was all too early to get excited about the “new” Chiefs team when they beat the Carolina Panthers last week. I was really hoping against hope that it was not a fluke but somewhere, deep down inside of my soul, I thought it was.
Week 15 NFL Picks Not Buying Falcons, But Also Not Sold on Cam Newton’s Panthers (Podcast)
There are only so many chances you can give a team, especially if that team is the Atlanta Falcons.
One week after holding off a late push from the New Orleans Saints, the Falcons went on the road looking to send a message against the lowly Carolina Panthers. Instead, the Panthers drubbed the Falcons, with Cam Newton running wild over a defenseless Atlanta defense.
The Falcons lost...
