San Diego Chargers WR Patrick Crayton took some time to interview with a Dallas Radio station (the Ben and Skin Show: KESN-FM ) and talked about the differences between Tony Romo and Philip Rivers:

“… Romo is a big, athletic guy. He extends plays with his feet, which is one of his strong points. Philip (Rivers) is more of a pocket passer. He’s one of those guys that you know is going to throw; he led the league with 4,700-plus yard passing this year, and he’s throwing that ball to everyone — which is great. When you run a route, you better be cognizant that the ball could be coming your way. He’s also a little trash talker, but that’s the competitive juices in him.”

Crayton was just establishing himself as a reliable receiver for Rivers before he broke his wrist last season. Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, and Legedu Naanee are all free agents at the end of the season and having Crayton already on the roster will allow GM AJ Smith some flexibility in the Chargers plans. Crayton is a solid slot receiver and can be used as the number 2 guy if needed.
