If yesterday was any indication, Rob Gronkowski has reached a new level of fame. You might call it rock star status.
While teammates Matthew Slater, Brian Hoyer and Donald Thomas got their share of screams from the kids at the Stephen Olney School in Providence, Gronk hit a much different bar on the decibel level. It was tough to hear with all the shrieks and screams unleashed at the mere sight of the Patriots tight end, who on Sunday tied an NFL record with his 13th touchdown catch.
Did Gronk know he was a rock star?
”The kids are wild. They all have all this energy. They’re enthusiastic, but it’s awesome to come into an atmosphere like that,” Gronkowski said yesterday following the NFL Play 60 appearance. ”You know they’re all happy and energized ready to have some fun.” (more…)
