Patriots' warning: 'We're coming together'

And with so many moving pieces still being melded together and Bill Belichick being the one carrying the torch, they promise to get better. In Week 1, Buffalo's Leodis McKelvin coughed up the ball on a kickoff to fuel the back end of a Patriots comeback. On Sunday, it was Mark Clayton dropping a fourth-down pass inside the New England 10 with less than a minute to go to seal the Patriots' 27-21 win over the Ravens. Fortunate? No doubt. Which isn't good for everyone else, if this is the point in the season when a) Tom Brady's working his way back from last year's devastating knee injury, and b) a revamped defense is getting its legs underneath it.
