The Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles have a pre-season game this weekend and what better way to start a potential rivalry than practicing together. This week, the Eagles and Patriots have scheduled joint practices with each other that is not rare for the Patriots to do as they have in the past with teams such as the New Orleans Saints.
Things did not start out as planned for the two teams as there was a little bit of a scrum today between Patriots rookie receiver Aaron Dobson and Eagles veteran cornerback Cary Williams. According to reports, Williams hit Dobson hard in the facemask and pushing ensued after the fact. Both players were taken off the field after the fight.
In other less violent news, it seems that the Patriots made the right choice not re-signing safety Patrick Chung who has looked absolutely horrendous trying to cover Patriots receivers. In fact it seems that all the Eagles secondary are having trouble so that maybe could be the reason the fight started. Check out...
BEST OF MAXIM
Week Three: Riley Cooper
Yeah, I am reaching for the low hanging fruit Riley Cooper’s name never should have carried so much weight.
Lately you would think the kid was a tier-one Pro Bowler.
Here is an ugly truth.
He may or may not be a pro football player that may or may not have a job. He is also our latest symbol for intolerance.
One day he will be afterthought.
Michael Vick will start the preseason opener for the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. The Eagles have not publicly announced anything in regards to who they view as the favorite to start the season as their quarterback.
Vick, Nick Foles and 2013 Draft pick Matt Barkley are locked in a competition for the quarterback job. By most accounts Barkley is no higher then third on the depth...
The hits keep coming for the Philadelphia Eagles’ WR corps. Arrelious Benn will join Jeremy Maclin on the injured reserve list after becoming the second receiver (and third Eagle overall) to suffer a torn ACL.
Although Benn has never played a snap in an Eagles uniform, he was likely to make the 53-man roster this year and be a part of the WR corps, especially after Maclin...

It really hasn’t been the best camp for Eagles receivers. First they lost Jeremy Maclin to an ACL injury, then they are faced with the Riley Cooper debacle, and now they’ve lost Arrelious Benn for the season with a torn ACL.
Benn, who was acquired from Tampa Bay in March in exchange for draft picks, was entering his fourth season out of Illinois. He has 862 yards receiving and...
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has taken the lead in the battle for starting QB with Nick Foles, according to beat reporter Rueben Frank.Fantasy Spin:It still doesn't mean that Vick will end up starting for the Eagles in 2013, but it appears he's a better fit for the Chip Kelly offense.
This season on BSMW, we’ll provide some thoughts going into each quarter of New England’s 2013 campaign. We begin with one of our favorite months of the year, August, due to the preseason.
No pressure. Low stress. Solid entertainment.
The Patriots play at Philadelphia August 9, host Tampa Bay August 16, travel to what’s left of Detroit August 22, and wrap up at home vs. the...
We reported that Michael Vick is starting to pull away in the Eagles quarterback competition, and Adam Schefter is reporting that Vick will start the Eagles first pre-season game against the Patriots.
Per SalPal, Eagles QB Michael Vick expected to start Friday night for Patriots.

Riley Cooper was given a “leave of absence” on Friday because of the growing fear that the Eagles locker room was dividing. Something that even head coach Chip Kelly acknowledged. To most, it seemed like the best thing to do given the circumstances was to give Cooper and his teammates time to process what had just happened and how they move forward. How much time is truly needed...
According to Phil Sheridan of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper never underwent any counseling for essentially being a racist.
The Eagles’ plan for handling the Riley Cooper situation became clear Tuesday. There is no plan. There never was. The team acted quickly to fine Cooper for his videotaped racist threat, then ducked low and hoped it would all...
Plaxico Burress joked at the beginning of training camp he and New England quarterback Tom Brady were the ''grandpas'' of the NFL. Burress is ready to show the kids in his meeting room he's still got it.
The 35-year-old finds himself in a unique position in the twilight of his career. Burress is a backup behind Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown and is fighting...
