The Patriots have enjoyed the most success of maybe any NFL team over the past decade-plus, and those wins have translated into dollars for the franchise.
Forbes Magazine released their annual list of the world’s most valuable sports franchises on Monday, and the Patriots landed in the top 10 yet again. The Patriots were ranked sixth on the list for a second consecutive year, but, this time, they were in sole possession of the six spot unlike last year when they tied with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Not only did the Patriots overcome the Dodgers, who were bought for a MLB-record $2 billion last summer, for sole possession of sixth place, but they also increased their overall worth from $1.4 billion to $1.635 billion in the calendar year. That’s a big jump for a franchise that team owner Robert Kraft bought for just $175 million a little less than 20 years ago.
The Patriots were still unable to top the charts as the NFL’s most valuable team, though. Kraft and the Patriots were outdone y...

Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and five other gun-related charges for the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd last month. As soon as Hernandez was implicated in the murder, the New England Patriots began distancing themselves from the tight end. They cut him the morning he was arrested. Though the team [...]
After several complaints from visitors, a photo depicting alleged murderer Aaron Hernandez skipping into the end zone has been removed at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, the Plain Dealer reports. The photo in question, from the New England Patriots game against the Green Bay Packers in 2010, was displayed as the winning image in a Hall of Fame photo contest. ...
When the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos faced each other toward the end of the 2011 season, reporters couldn’t wait to capture the postgame handshake between Tom Brady and Tim Tebow. Brady and Tebow are two of the most popular players in football, and Tebow had been defying the odds at that point by [...]

Alfonzo Dennard was arrested and cited Thursday for driving under the influence of alcohol but his side says he did not fail a sobriety test. Lincoln Police Department spokesperson Katie Flood told NFL.com that the officers who pulled Dennard over had "probable cause" to believe he was under the influence of alcohol.
Here's where it gets tricky: Dennard technically...
Late night talk show host Conan O’Brien took the opportunity to throw a zinger in the New England Patriots’ direction during one of his recent opening monologues. Conan was discussing a new DC Comic in which Superman kills someone, then jokes that the Patriots signed him afterwards – obviously a reference to the whole Aaron Hernandez murder saga.
On a related note, Superman...
Much has been made of the deterioration of the Patriot's offense over the course of this off-season. There's no arguing that Brady has significantly less weapons to work with in the passing game. So how significantly will this affect his numbers?
OVER/UNDER: 30 Touchdowns (Regular Season)
Prediction- Over (32 Touchdowns): The last season Brady failed to reach the 30...
The Pouncey Brothers are University of Florida alums, so that is the connection between them and Aaron Hernandez. Technically, it is innocent until proven guilty and every defendant has a presumption of innocence, so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with wearing these hats.

This could be one of the dumbest things ever done by high profile athletes. Really, this makes Ochocinco taping his lawyer on the rear after a verdict seem smart. Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder and all signs point towards him being guilty. But that did not stop the Pouncey twins from wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a party.
There are rumors that the Pouncey brothers...
Hot News for TE Aaron Hernandez
Three weeks ago, Carlos Ortiz had a much different relationship with former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. The 27-year-old was not a star witness who may be providing investigators with enough information to put Hernandez away for life. Instead, he was a close friend. Ortiz hangs around on a street called Davis Drive [...]
Mike and Maurkice Pouncey are apparently firm believers in “innocent until proven guilty.”
The identical twin centers were spotted wearing “Free Hernandez” hats at a nightclub. Mike and Maurkice, who play for the Dolphins and Steelers, respectively, were teammates with Aaron Hernandez at the University of Florida. Mike was Hernandez’s roommate in Gainesville.
