NFL Trade Rumors:
Field Yates of ESPN Boston reports that the Patriots brought in 11 players for work outs on Friday including former Packer QBs Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman, as well as RB Jonathan Dwyer.
Here’s the rest of the players who worked out for New England:
WR Josh Bellamy
RB Damien Berry
WR Chad Bumphis
QB Austin Davis
NT Sione Fua
RB Cameron Marshall
DT Clinton McDonald
NT Andre Neblett
The Patriots also released WR Kamar Aiken from their injured reserve list.
It’s interesting that the Patriots met with three different quarterbacks after they waived Tim Tebow last weekend. As of now, New England only has Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett at quarterback, which means they could be shopping for another option.
Dwyer is still only 24-years-old and has already met visited with the Giants since being waived by the Steelers. If the Patriots pass on him, I’m sure he’ll continue to get looks throughout the season as injuries begin to take their toll.

The Patriots and Tom Brady are a high flying offense. If there's one QB in the league that can put up 7 TDs, its Tom.
After postings a record of 164-92 last season, I'm ready to breakthrough to 70% this season.
We've started off on the right foot by getting the Broncos game right.
Here's a look at Week 1.
Vikings @ Lions - Detroit wins. This...
Leon Washington was a notable signing for the Patriots during the offseason. Shortly after making the 53-man roster, Washington was cut. However, it appears that the void left by Washington's departure in the kick return game is not something that could be filled internally by candidates such as Shane Vereen and even 250 lb. back, LeGarrette Blount. After working out for a...
Wow the opening weekend of the NFL is here. At the beginning of training camp and after attending many training sessions. The Buffalo Bills left a lot of training time on the table. They would end practice a half hour early at least during most practices. Look for the fatigue factor for the Bills to come into play the last twenty minutes of the game. The Patiots should be...
FOXBORO, Mass. – James Develin wasn’t gone for long.
The Patriots re-signed the fullback just two days after he was released from the team, according to Nick Underhill of MassLive.com. Develin was with the team throughout training camp and preseason. He was released Tuesday to make room for tight end Matthew Mulligan.
Develin played fullback and tight end with the Patriots this...
FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots answered most of the pressing questions surrounding the organization in training camp. But the summer left more more questions than answers at defensive tackle.
Entering training camp, Armond Armstead was expected to be the third defensive tackle on the team. He was supposed to push Tommy Kelly for a starting role, or in the very least, he would...
FOXBORO, Mass. — Despite practicing all week, it’s unlikely we see Rob Gronkowski this weekend against the Bills.
Gronkowski was listed as doubtful on the Patriots’ injury report. He was a limited participant with forearm and back injuries all week.
Danny Amendola was listed as probable with a groin injury. He was Wednesday and Thursday, but he was a full participant in...
The New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola has been under a microscope ever since signed with the team. Comparisons to Wes Welker and concerns over his injury history has the media constantly focused on the biggest offseason acquisition of the Patriots. However, for Amendola it has been the same questions over and over, he knows that the only way he can quiet those inquiries...
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel have very little in common. One is a Heisman Trophy winner and the other was relatively unknown in college. One makes things happen with his legs, while the other is one of the greatest pocket passers of all-time. And then, there’s the whole […]
Between Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck and Ryan Tannehill, New England's defense last season had its hands full trying to defend rookie quarterbacks.
They don't have to wait very long to see if that experience will pay off.
The Patriots will once again be tested by a first-year signal caller Sunday when Buffalo's EJ Manuel makes his debut in the season opener.
Today, former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, pleaded not guilty on all of the charges related to his murder case. The arraignment was scheduled for this afternoon in Fall River Superior Court. The charges were brought in from the Odin Lloyd murder that happened in mid June.
Hernandez, 23, was coming off a stellar season for the Patriots that also granted him a brand new contract...
What is your biggest question mark for the Patriots heading into the 2013 season?
Raj: The Patriots do not look like a super bowl-contending team. With the departure of Wes Welker and Danny Woodhead, the injury to Rob Gronkowski, and the fiasco involving Aaron Hernandez, the Patriots have a lot of gaps in the offense. I don't see this offense as the potent offense...
Typically 74 catches, 900 yards and four touchdowns earns you a raise in the NFL, not a one-way ticket to retirement. Brandon Lloyd appears to be the exception to that rule.
After an impressive season with the Patriots in 2012, Lloyd was released by the team in March and remains without an NFL team as the season gets underway. The lack of interest this offseason left the 32-year...
