Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston reports that the Patriots recently brought in former Colts WR Austin Collie for a workout.
Mike Garafolo hints that Collie could a workout setup with another NFL at some point later in the week.
Collie suffered a ruptured patella tendon and has a very serious history of concussions. The Patriots are known to check in on available wide receivers at this point in the year, so it’s by no means surprising that they brought him for a visit.
Collie, 27, doesn’t expect to be 100 percent until October, which means he could end up being a contingency option for the Patriots.
