Bill Belichick spoke to reporters Monday for the first time since the team traded for cornerback Aqib Talib but shed little light on the transaction. With Talib not allowed to join the Patriots until Nov. 12 because of his suspension for performance-enhancing substances, Belichick said his focus is on preparing the Patriots for Sunday's home game against the Bills. Belichick said he would deal with Talib when he arrived and wouldn’t even confirm when Talib’s suspension is over. Asked what drew him to the 2008 first-round draft pick, he answered simply, “I think he’s a good player. I think he can help our football team.” While there is still a week until the cornerback officially arrives in New England, the addition to Talib plus the likely return of injured safeties Patrick Chung and Steve Gregory will mean more shuffling in the Patriots’ secondary. New England’s good bye
