Just finished up with the news conferences for coach Bill Belichick and six players. Lots to get to. But first, a health update from a cheery and expansive Belichick.
First, a Gronk update. Belichick said Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski didn’t practice, which wasn’t a shock. He’s dealing with that high-ankle sprain. Oh, and the team worked out in full-pads, which was interesting. Cranking it up.
As for other news…
Belichick was positively cheery about RT Sebastian Vollmer, who has been out for several months with foot and back ailments. Belichick said he was in a cast, which was new information. It came because a German reporter told Belichick the whole country was rooting for the Patriots.
“Great!” Belichick said.
