New England Patriots
The New England Patriots (8-3) beat the New York Jets (4-7) 49-19, last night at MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, NJ.
What an antrcious loss for the Jets as their season is likely over and the game was over when the Patriots scored 35 points in the 2nd quarter.
As soon as New England scored 3 touchdowns in a total of 53 seconds after their were turnovers by Mark Sanchez, Joe McKnight on the kick return and Tom Brady throwing an 83 yard touchdown pass to Shane Vereen.
Gang Green threw in the whie towel on a special national TV thanksgiving night.
Mark Sanchez didn't have a good game, even though he went 26 for 36 with 301 passing yards and one TD pass, but he commited two turnovers which one of those turnovers was a fumble where he ran into his own teammate (Nick Mangold) and fumbled the ball on the ground which led the Pats to recovery to score an easy TD.
Bilal Powell has been a descent backup to Shonn Greene while he had 12 carries for 40 rushing yards and scored a touchdown.
Shonn Greene had 14 carries for 71 rushing yards.
Jeremy Kerley had a good night stats wise grabbing 7 receptions for 86 receiving yards.
Dustin Keller caught 5 passes for 64 yards and scored a touchdown.
Jeff Cumberland made 4 catches for 58 yards.
Nick Folk made a 32 yard field goal.
Joe McKnight fumbled on a kick return and Julian Edelman recovered the fumble to score an easy TD.
Eric Smith recovered a fumble.
David Harris had 10 tackles.
LaRon Landry had 8 tackles.
No sacks or forced turnovers by the Jets defense.
The Jets offense had 25 first downs, had 405 total yards, went 3 for 10 on 3rd down conversions and commited 4 turnovers on offense.
The Jets defense allowed the Patriots to get 25 first downs, 475 total yards, allowed NE to go 11 for 15 on 3rd down conversions and allowed them to score 49 points.
A lot of angry Jets fans were watching in disgust. The crowd was chanting for "Tebow" "Tebow" to have Tim Tebow come into the game, but Rex Ryan said he had two broken ribs, even though he was in uniform.
It's pretty obvious by now Rex Ryan is going to stick with the Mark Sanchez until the season is over and Tim Tebow won't get a chance to start at quarterback once.
If the Jets are going to make the playoffs which isn't likely going to happen. They would have to win their final five games of the regular season to go 9-7 and pray that they could clinch a wild card or forget about the season.
Week 13 (Dec 2nd) - The New York Jets will host the Arizona Cardinals on a Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium 1:00 pm on Fox (TV) and WEPN (Radio).

The Jets have been struggling all year, and this play is probably a microcosm of Mark Sanchez’s career. A broken play that he tries to salvage by getting back to the line of scrimmage, where he runs into his lineman, fumbles and it gets returned for a touchdown. The best part is he was mid-slide when he ran into his guard’s backside and then his reaction to seeing the Patriots...
New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez fumbled the football after he was knocked to the ground by his own teammate's butt, and New England Patriots cornerback Steve Gregory recovered the fumble and ran it 32 yards for a touchdown on Thanksgiving night at MetLife Stadium.
It happened in the second quarter as Sanchez missed a handoff to his running back, then ran towards the...
What a Thanksgiving day for ass to mouth fans. Things got started in NYC on the Upper West Side where the Macy’s parade balloons are inflated. That’s really Spiderman going ass to mouth on Uncle Sam. But that was just the start for NYC A2Ms.
Mark Sanchez got in on the A2M action with this play that epitomized the Jets night.
Which led to this from the NY...
Now, that’s what I call a Dirty Sanchez!
On Thanksgiving night, the New York Jets put together one of the worst quarters of football I have seen in a long time, and I loved every second of it. As if giving up 35 points and recording three turnovers in the second quarter alone wasn’t enough, the incomparable Mark Sanchez gave us a play that pretty well sums up this entire season...
NFL Films named Jim Marshall's wrong way run in 1964 as the #1 Football Folly in NFL History for their 100 Greatest Follies film in 1994. Surely this Mark Sanchez highlight from Thanksgiving Night 2012 has to enter the Top Ten, if not provide some stiff competition to Marshall's legendary blooper that has stood at the top of the heap for almost 50 years.
Watch as Sanchez...
If you wanted a play to sum up the New York Jets season, you need to take a look at this Mark Sanchez fumble from Thanksgiving Night.
Watch as Mark attempts to hand the ball off to his fullback but ends up having to run it himself due to a miscommunication.
Then, Mark accidentally runs into his own lineman Brandon Moore and fumbles the ball which is picked up by New England...
'U R RIDICULOUS'
New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller took to Twitter to call out Jets fans who apparently booed when it appeared that Mark Sanchez went down with an injury.
The Jets fell in a laugher to the New England Patriots in Week 11. Find out the highlights, but mostly lowlights from a pitiful performance from Mark Sanchez and company.
> I admire how the Jets subtly equated rooting for the Patriots with being a fan of Hurricane Sandy
> Cris Collingsworth savors pre-snap hard counts like other men savor wine
> Mark Sanchez's first INT inside the 25 could only be called Vick-esque
> I couldn't write fast enough in real-time to cover the various Jet calamities that caused this game to get out...
By now, if you are a sports fan, you probably know the New England Patriots destroyed what's left of the New York Jets, 49-19.
But did you see the highlights?
This may very well have had the funniest play of all time in it.
Sure, there were lots of "Lowlights" for the J-E-T-S, but the worst may have been when QB Mark Sanchez ran into the butt of one of his...
After everyone is full of turkey, or if you are Canadian like me and just like football, the NFL has an AFC East rivalry game featuring the (7-3) Patriots and the (4-6) New York Jets. There is definately no love loss here as this is one of the better rivalry in the NFL. We all no the story lines – Belichick vs Rex, Brady vs Jets defense, Sanchez vs Tebow… and so on. Both teams...
Joe Caporoso - 12 Pack
Chris Gross- Jets 24, New England 21: Tomorrow, the Jets will display the same mentality that they had last week in St. Louis, the mindset that their backs are against the wall and they need to swing from the hip to survive throughout the rest of the season. While New York is historically bad under Rex Ryan when facing the Patriots in the clubs’ second...
AFC East bouts don't get much better than when the New England Patriots and New York Jets square off in the second half of the season. The Patriots are usually rolling, and the Jets are usually desperate. This season is no exception, as Gang Green (4-6) hosts New England (7-3) Thanksgiving night in a last-gasp effort to keep their Wildcard hopes alive. Meanwhile, the Patriots...

The Patriots scored four touchdowns off of four straight turnovers in the second quarter, including 21 points in a 52-second span, to destroy the Jets 49-12.
