Tom E. Curran of CSNNE reports that the New England Patriots have released WR Deion Branch and CB Malcolm Williams, for the second time this year.
Both players were cut to make room for CB Aqib Talib and WR Greg Salas. Aquib was acquired a few weeks ago, however the team was forced to place him to the reserve/suspended list while he completed his four game suspension.
This is the second time this season that Branch has been released and it’s not surprising when you consider that he has produced only 9 catches for 80 yards in seven games.

Aqib Talib returns this interception for a touchdown
The New England Patriots played one of their best overall games of the season on Sunday, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 59-24. Will Aqib Talib have an immediate effect for the Patriots?
Mike Lombardi was on WEEI and he thinks so“I think he can make a significant impact on the outside,” Lombardi said. “This week against the Colts, it’s a little different game because the Colts have a couple of those receivers who have quickness and vertical speed in [Donnie] Avery and T.Y. Deion Branch added to growing injury report
This is obviously not a huge deal for the New England Patriots, but with more and more injuries popping up on the offensive end it's notable in the sense that the list is expanding. The offense that the Pats will be alternating with is no slouch in the Indianapolis Colts with the ever-improving rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. The Pats will need to put up a lot of points if they...
