The Rap Sheet:
For those who missed it last night, a quick injury update having to do with the Patriots defense. It’s not a major one, which is probably good news.
Patriots DE Shaun Ellis, the veteran former Jets star, suffered bruised ribs in the loss to the Steelers, I’m told. It’s not considered a long-term issue, but don’t be surprised if Ellis misses this week’s game against the Giants.
I bet he’ll be back for his Gang Green crew in two weeks on Sunday Night Football.

Danny Woodhead Comfortable With Limited Role in Kevin Faulk's Return to Patriots
FOXBORO, Mass. -- Running back Danny Woodhead is coming off the first game of his New England career without an offensive touch, but he's got no issues with his role on the team. Maybe not by coincidence, it was also the first time he was on the field at the same time as teammate Kevin Faulk, who returned Sunday after a 13-month absence with a knee injury. Faulk led the Patriots...
Patriots' Defense Due to Improve Against Weak Opponents, But Real Solutions Will Be Hard to Find
In 2007, the Patriots had the best offense in the history of football, but it wasn't enough to win the Super Bowl. They've since maintained an incredibly potent offense while mixing in a suspect defense, and the result has been zero postseason victories for three seasons. After Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers tore apart the Patriots for the bulk of Sunday afternoon, concerns...
A whole bunch of Patriots are out of their homes with no power…
This has kinda gone under the radar, considering the Patriots were on the road in Pittsburgh this weekend. But it’s worth noting that plenty of players returned home to places that weren’t their homes.
Thanks to snow and power outages all across the Foxboro area (and in places like North Andover, right), a ton of players are actually staying in a nearby hotel, rather than their...

Eli Manning showing everyone he's in Brady's class
Eli Manning created some waves this summer putting himself in the same class with Tom Brady in a radio interview.
It was instant tabloid material.
How could Manning be in the same elite class with Brady?
Eli had only won one Super Bowl compared to Brady's three, and the New York Giants were entering this season after missing the playoffs a very un-Brady-like two straight years...

Giants S Rolle isn't fazed by Patriots WR Welker
New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle doesn't seem too worried about New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker.
Although Welker has an NFL-leading 57 receptions for 824 yards this season, Rolle doesn't have an answer why the diminutive wideout is giving other NFL defensive backs fits this season.
"I don't know. You've got to ask those guys he's giving...
