Found December 10, 2011 on The Rap Sheet:
The Patriots downgraded four players to out, including a player who was thought to be ready to go. Safety Patrick Chung, center Dan Connolly, LB Brandon Spikes, and RB Shane Vereen all were declared out for tomorrow’s game against the Redskins. Chung has missed the last month with a foot injury, and I had thought he would be ready. Maybe they are being overly cautious. As for Spikes, he’d only practiced twice with his knee injury, so maybe next week is his target. Connolly is nursing a groin injury, and he’ll be replaced by either Ryan Wendell or Nick McDonald. And Vereen was nursing a hamstring. In all, nothing that will kill them tomorrow. But considering they released Sterling Moore today, safety is incredibly thin. Maybe it’ll be something different tomorrow…

Catching up with Patriots DL Ron Brace, who knows “it’s going to be a hard road” … and links!

Patriots DL Ron Brace was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list earlier in the season to great expectations. Yet, it hasn’t quite materialized. Brace has been active for five games, but he has just two tackles. The Boston College product has slowly been working into the lineup, but his contributions haven’t been steady. Patriots down another tackle as they get closer to a date with the Redskins

The Patriots were missing another tackle today. Tackle Marcus Cannon missed his first practice, joining Sebastian Vollmer on the sidelines. If he and Vollmer are both out, that’s two tackles, which could lead to the promotion of Matt Kopa from the practice squad. The Pats would...

Patriots survive in Washington

Rob Gronkowski set the record for touchdown's by a tight-end in a single-season in the Patriots victory over the Redskins Well that was interesting, and not because I’m pretty sure I gained two pounds from the amount of free barbequed meat products I ate before the game. The New England Patriots looked to be in control of the their football game in Washington, DC Landover,...
