Recently cut New England Patriots defensive end Ty Warren will visit the Broncos at Dove Valley this evening, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Warren had played defensive end in the Patriots’ 3-4 defense. Weighing in at 300 pounds, he could easily make the transition to defensive tackle in Denver’s 4-3.
Having just turned 30, Warren is entering his ninth season in the league after missing the entire 2010 season due to a hip injury. Warren has battled injuries over the past three seasons, which may cause some red flags to go up among the Broncos brass.
From 2007-2009 Warren started in 41 games for New England, recording 140 tackles and 7.0 sacks. His must productive season game in 2006 when he recorded 84 tackles, 7.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Signing Warren would add a solid veteran to the interior of Denver’s defense, no abjection here. ...
