New England Patriots: Week 8 Preview, Prediction

The New England Patriots (5-2) come home to Gillette Stadium to take on the 3-3 Miami Dolphins, fresh off their Week 7 loss in New York. The game will be shown this Sunday at 1 PM EST on CBS. I think we can all agree that the sooner we forget last week’s game against the Jets the better. Every time I picture Rex Ryan celebrating the win, and he and Rob Ryan having a celebratory...

Tom Brady Says His Mechanics Are Fine

Tom Brady has put together, statistically, a sub-par season, especially for a quarterback of his caliber. After putting together a 52 game streak in which he threw at least one touchdown pass, Brady has failed to record one in two of the last three games. He has recorded one game with a passer rating north of 100 and he is on pace to throw for his least amount of yards since the...

Patriots’ Danny Amendola will not change his style of play

New England Patriots wide receiver, Danny Amendola, declared himself “ready to go” this week as the Pats take on the Miami Dolphins in Foxboro, MA.  As Michael David Smith of NBCSports tells us, Amendola is not going to change his playing style. One could argue that Amendola does not have a playing style since he has missed 24 of his teams’ last 38 games dating back to 2011...

Tom Brady's injury report appearance par for course

Tom Brady used to be on the injury report every single week. Then, when he finally wasn't, he actually got hurt.Brady had a three-year injury report streak going before having the designation removed prior to Week 1 of the 2008 season. It was that week when he suffered a season-ending knee ailment.Since then, he's been on and off the weekly tab. This week, he's on it...

Fantasy Football 2013: Why You Shouldn't Give Up on Tom Brady

There comes a time during every fantasy football season that decisions need to be made. Amazingly, the other day I caught myself wondering, can I play the rest of this season with Tom Brady as my No.1 quarterback? To try to hone my fantasy expertise I play with a number of teams, 11 total this year and one team has Brady as the top quarterback. Consequently, that team is 2-5, in large...

Tom Brady Playing Against Dolphins With What Looks Like Swollen Throwing Hand (Photo)

Tom Brady‘s first pass of the game went for an interception on Sunday, and the reason behind his accuracy issues might be a swollen hand. Brady smacked his hand off the helmet of a Jets defender during last week’s loss in the Meadowlands, causing him to stretch and flex the hand quite a bit while on the sidelines during the second half of that game. It appears that the hand isn’t...

Danny Amendola will play Sunday, Aqib Talib will not

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is active and will play Sunday gainst the Miami Dolphins. Amendola has been sidelined due to a concussion suffered in Week 6 against the Saints.  He practiced each day this week on a limited basis. Amendola has missed four games this season, including three to a groin injury sustained in Week 1.  The

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots: 2013 Week 8 NFL Pick

Miami Dolphins (3-3) at New England Patriots (5-2) Tom Brady has not played well this season. A lot of people are giving him a pass because of the state of his receiving corps and that’s obviously been an issue, but you can’t give him a total pass. His arm strength is noticeably diminished, something that’s been a trend over the past few seasons, and his timing and accuracy...

Gisele Bündchen Did Her Own Version Of The Body Issue

Surely you’re familiar with ESPN’s Body Issue, this year featuring golfer Gary Player. It seems like Gisele Bündchen and Vogue Paris are aware of it too, as Tom Brady’s wife and the magazine teamed up to take some body issue like photos. That is some kind of weird pose, maybe a French sport we haven’t heard of? Anyhoo, we’re not complaining, and there’s more from Bündchen...

Aqib Talib, Danny Amendola Listed as Questionable on Injury Report for Patriots-Dolphins Game

FOXBORO, Mass. — We won’t know until Sunday whether Aqib Talib and Danny Amendola are good to go for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. Both players are listed as questionable on the practice report. Amendola is dealing with concussion and groin injury. Talib has a hip injury. Both players practiced all week. Tommy Kelly (knee) and Leon Washington (ankle) are listed...

Quick Hits: Patriots Defeat Flipper

For the first time since my DirecTV blacked out in a windstorm back in 2011, I missed a Patriots game.  I think the time before that was in 2004 when I planned on watching a recording of Patriots/Steelers, only to have someone spoil the outcome for me (the Pats lost, snapping their 21 game win streak) and decided not to put myself through the torture of watching a known loss. ...

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots: Five Things We Learned

Every team deals with injuries throughout the course of a season, but the New England Patriots have been especially decimated on both sides of the ball coming into this week's contest with the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots have lost four key (and by key I mean the four best players on the field) defenders in Wilfork, Kelly, Mayo, and Talib while just seeing the return of Gronkowski...
