The New England Patriots have a whopping 13 players listed
as questionable on their injury report, including wide receivers Brandon Lloyd
and Wes Welker and tight end Aaron Hernandez.
All three of Tom Brady’s targets were limited at practice throughout
the week, as Welker and Hernandez are hampered by ankle injuries, while Lloyd
is dealing with a knee ailment.
Beyond Lloyd, Welker and Hernandez, other key Patriots’
players are questionable to play Monday night against the Houston Texans,
including safety Patrick Chung (shoulder/hamstring), defensive lineman Chandler
Jones (ankle) and offensive linemen Logan Mankins (ankle/calf) and Dan Connolly
Mankins has missed the Patriots past three games due to his
ankle injury, while Jones has been out two consecutive contests.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski is the only Patriots’ player that’s
been ruled out for Monday night’s game. Linebacker Jerod Mayo (elbow) is the
only player not listed as out or questionable, as he’s probable to suit up
against the Texans.
