NFL Injury Report:
The New England Patriots have a whopping 13 players listed
as questionable on their injury report, including wide receivers Brandon Lloyd
and Wes Welker and tight end Aaron Hernandez.
All three of Tom Brady’s targets were limited at practice throughout
the week, as Welker and Hernandez are hampered by ankle injuries, while Lloyd
is dealing with a knee ailment.
Beyond Lloyd, Welker and Hernandez, other key Patriots’
players are questionable to play Monday night against the Houston Texans,
including safety Patrick Chung (shoulder/hamstring), defensive lineman Chandler
Jones (ankle) and offensive linemen Logan Mankins (ankle/calf) and Dan Connolly
Mankins has missed the Patriots past three games due to his
ankle injury, while Jones has been out two consecutive contests.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski is the only Patriots’ player that’s
been ruled out for Monday night’s game. Linebacker Jerod Mayo (elbow) is the
only player not listed as out or questionable, as he’s probable to suit up
against the Texans.

Wes Welker really found a home in New England as the go to guy for Tom Brady. He has put up phenomenal numbers as a slot receiver in a prolific offense. He has 9 years in the league, but didn't really take off until coming to New England from Miami.Since 2007 has posted 5 out of 6 seasons at 1,000 plus yards, his best performance coming in 2009 where he exceeded 1300 yards receiving...

Wes Welker isn’t just Tom Brady‘s longtime favorite receiving target, he’s starting to put together some impressive career numbers himself.
As the Patriots prepare to take on the Texans on Sunday — in a game that’s looked at as both a major test and measuring stick for New England — Welker is closing in on a personal milestone. With eight more catches on the season, Welker...

It's no secret that New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon Lloyd has been criticized quite heavily in his first season with the team and I certainly can't exclude myself from that group of criticizers. There was much expected from the veteran wideout as Lloyd has been pretty solid for the Denver Broncos and St. Louis Rams over the past couple seasons and the Pats have...
The New England Patriots enter their Monday night contest
against the Houston Texans with a whopping 13 players listed as questionable on
their injury report, but three key starters, wide receivers Wes Welker and
Brandon Lloyd and tight end Aaron Hernandez, are expected to suit up for the
pivotal AFC matchup.

The Patriots’ pass defense has improved since Aqib Talib came to Foxboro, but surprisingly, he’s been the weak link in the New England secondary.
It will be key for Talib to play the best game of his brief Patriots career while he’s matched up against the Texans’ star wide receiver, Andre Johnson. After an off year plagued by injuries in 2011, Johnson has come roaring back...
With Julian Edelman out this week,Brandon Lloyd may actually be targeted on Monday Night Football, providing his loyal owners with a last ditch effort to salvage the season.
While Lloyd is listed as questionable, that is Patriots talk for “likely to play, Belichick just wants to beat around the bush”. Brandon Lloyd has been useless this fantasy season, but he could have his best...

Throughout the 2012 season, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Sebastian Vollmer seal off the right side of the Patriots’ line, even if it typically goes unnoticed. He has been one of the most consistent players on New England’s offense, while also serving as one of the best players on the team this season. So imagine our surprise when Vollmer seriously struggled against Cameron...
How important is Monday Night's game for the Patriots? How do you predict the game will play out?
Jason: Monday night's game is a big one, no question. But I don't think any regular season game will make or break the Pats at this point. Five of the last seven Super Bowl champs have started out in the Wild Card round. Taking another step toward a bye would...
Stevan Ridley has emerged as a top running back in his second pro season. He's not the only Patriots rusher Texans coach Gary Kubiak has to worry about.
The revived New England ground game, with Shane Vereen and Brandon Bolden as backups, has brought balance to an offense that relied more heavily on quarterback Tom Brady in recent years.
Ridley, in his second pro season, is...
The NFL saved the best for this weekend as the New England Patriots host the Houston Texans on Monday night. There is a wealth of talent on both sides of the field and the outcome just might depend on which team is more calm and composed down the stretch. The Patriots have years and years of big-game experience on their side, while the Texans strive to someday reach those same heights...
