The New England Patriots got several players back at practice yesterday, including wide receiver Danny Amendola, according to Field Yates of ESPN Boston. While Amendola was back in pads and running through drills with his teammates, Yates noted that tight end Rob Gronkowski is still limited to working one-on-one with coaches. Amendola was back at practice after spending a week on the sidelines with an unspecified issue. While he wasn’t expected to be at risk of missing the start of the regular season, that is now out of the question considering he’s back and practicing at full-go, according to Yates. WR Danny Amendola, DE Jermaine Cunningham return to Patriots practice. Amendola seemingly a full go, Cunningham rehabs w/strength coaches. — Field Yates (@FieldYates) August 26, 2013 Gronkowski, who’s doubtful for the Patriots’ season opener against the Buffalo Bills, continues progressing in his rehab from a back injury. The tight end continues practicing in t-shirts and short, as he was participating in agility drills and catching passes with New England’s assistant strength coach yesterday. TE Rob Gronkowski works extensively with asst. strength coach on side field in t-shirt/shorts, doing agility drills and catching passes. — Field Yates (@FieldYates) August 26, 2013 Amendola figures to be Tom Brady’s top target at wide receiver this season. While he could be a suitable replacement for Wes Welker, questions continue to surround his durability. Those same questions will continue to plague Gronkowski following an offseason of setbacks involving his forearm and back. New England is hoping the dynamic tight end will return shortly after the start of the season and put his injury woes behind him. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?

Tim Tebow (@ocnnreport) Thursday night the New England Patriots host the New York Giants for both team’s final preseason matchup of the season.  Being the final preseason game, there will be much less to look for than in the previous weeks and the weeks to come.  The top priority for both teams will be getting their teams through this game injury free.  In other words, don’t...

Aaron Hernandez used angel dust during his time with the Patriots

Rolling Stone has conducted an in depth feature on former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and boy is it scary. Below is a breakdown from Bleacher Report. • Hernandez was a heavy user of angel dust, and had become so paranoid over the last year that he carried a gun wherever he went. • He surrounded himself with a cohort of gangsters, and cut himself off from his family and...

Tim Tebow gets vote of confidence from Robert Kraft

What would happen if Tim Tebow didn’t make the Patriots roster? I can tell you, ESPN would blow up and it would be Tebow Time again, until he lands on a roster or retires. Well today Tebow was given a vote of confidence, not from his coach but the Patriots owner Robert Kraft. “I’m rooting […]

Kraft says he's rooting for Tebow

Robert Kraft has learned not to meddle when it comes to roster decisions. But that doesn't mean he won't be lobbying Bill Belichick if there's a player or two he'd like to see make the cut, such as a certain Tim Tebow. Tebow's time as a Patriot may be close to ending as New England trims its roster down to its final 53 players. While some people think Tebow has...

Patriots focus on football after rough offseason

A training camp filled with potential pitfalls went about as smoothly as the New England Patriots could have hoped. They addressed the Aaron Hernandez situation early, minimized the attention on Tim Tebow and found promising young wide receivers after losing their top two from last season. And Rob Gronkowski may be ready sooner than expected after back surgery. Now the AFC East...

Patriots Rookie Receivers Given Traditional ‘Rookie Haircuts’ (Photos)

Even a young receiving corps as promising as the Patriots’ wasn’t exempt from a little rookie hazing. Josh Boyce, Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins all fell victim to the practice of “rookie haircuts,” with Tom Brady doing the honors. Dobson seemed to be enjoying himself — even with Brady laughing maniacally over him. Thompkins? Not so much. Boyce’s old man cut is...
