Jeff Demps was supposed to be the kick return savior last year, but then he got injured. He'll still be here this year but a report from Nick Underhill of MassLive.com says the Pats have been asking about Josh Cribbs. A much more proven solution.
The New England Patriots are among a handful of teams that have shown interest in former Cleveland Browns wide receiver and return man Josh Cribbs, according to a source.
A person close to Cribbs said that he is "very happy" with the interest he has drawn form various teams so far, though it is not known what level of interest the Patriots actually have in him.
Cribbs is OK as a receiver but he's a Pro Bowl level returner, highlighted by his 2009 season when he returned three kicks and a punt. He hasn't had a return for a touchdown since but recently the Browns have been trying to use Cribbs more as a wide receiver, and his seasons have been riddled with injuries.
Still, his skill set is something the Pa...

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins wouldn’t mind signing Patriots’ wide receiver Wes Welker in addition to Mike Wallace, during free agency.
Maybe the fact the Dolphins are willing to do more than in the past is a reason one club source last week mentioned his affinity for signing Wes Welker in addition to Mike Wallace.
Welker doesn’t fit the Dolphins’ structure...

Apparently the Miami Herald has a source that loves spreading rumors about Wes Welker. Are they true? We have no idea, but we do know that they spice things up a little bit.
Well, according to this source, Welker is ready to mess with the Patriots should they choose not to resign him. The source says that the free agent WR would like nothing more than to "stick it to the Patriots...
