TEAMS: New England Patriots, New York Jets
Through one quarter, the Jets had only managed to commit one crushing turnover and were actually hanging with the Patriots. Granted, New England put a touchdown pass on the board to Wes Welker within the first minute or so of the second quarter, but New York responded with what seemed to be a decent drive. But that seemingly productive drive ended with a Shonn Greene fumble.
From there, things went from bad to laughable. The Jets neglected to cover Shane Vereen coming out of the backfield and he coasted to an 83-yard touchdown to open the game wide open. An avalanche of the derpiest turnovers you’ll ever see then ensued. Mark Sanchez faceplanted into Brandon Moore’s ass, losing the ball and having it returned for another touchdown. The following kickoff was then fumbled by the Jets and walked into the end zone by Julian Edelman.
Jewkah ended another touchdown before the massive bleeding of the second quarter was over. It’s okay, Jets fans, your team settled for a field goal, down 35...
