Patriots LB Raekwon McMillan out for 2021 season with torn ACL

New England Patriots linebacker Raekwon McMillan suffered a significant knee injury during a recent practice and will miss the entire 2021 campaign with a torn ACL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

It is the second torn ACL for McMillan, who previously suffered the ailment as a rookie with the Miami Dolphins in 2017.

McMillan spent the 2020 season with the Las Vegas Raiders, recording one pass breakup, one forced fumble, 27 tackles and one tackle for a loss.

The 25-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Patriots this summer.

The Patriots could use Brandon King as their fourth-string linebacker with McMillan sidelined, based on the current depth chart. Dont'a Hightower, Ja'Whaun Bentley and Terez Hall are higher on the depth chart.
