Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that sources have informed him that Patriots’ TE Rob Gronkowski is done for the season after he broke his forearm for the second time during Sunday’s win over the Houston Texans. Pro Football Talk‘s Mike Florio reports that he will need another surgery, which will ultimately force him to miss any of the Patriots’ remaining games. Ian Rapoport tweets that he heard Gronkowski wasn’t feeling comfortable this week. Gronkowski originally suffered the injury back on November 18th and subsequently underwent surgery. It’s extremely unfortunate that he not only suffered the same injury, but that it will require another surgery. The Patriots have plenty of weapons on offense, so if any team is capable of getting by with out of their best players, it’s them.     The post Patriots Lose TE Rob Gronkowski For The Season appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Report: Rob Gronkowski’s Arm Injury in Different Location Than Original Fracture

If you think Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm because he rushed back from the injury he suffered earlier in the season, think again. According to CSNNE.com’s Tom E. Curran, the fractured arm suffered by Gronkowski against the Texans on Sunday is not identical to the original fracture he suffered during the Patriots’ Nov. 18 game against the Colts. This is an interesting revelation...

Vote: Can the Patriots Beat the Ravens Without Rob Gronkowski?

The Patriots and Ravens will once again hook up in the AFC Championship Game. This time could prove to be more difficult for the Pats, though, as they’ll reportedly be without tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski reportedly reinjured his forearm during the Patriots’ playoff victory over the Texans on Sunday, and he’ll require season-ending surgery. Gronk’s absence will be...

Should the New England Patriots Trade Rob Gronkowski?

As I drove back from my uncle's house after watching the Patriots handily beat the Houston Texans for the second time this season, I listened to WEEI and heard multiple callers proclaim that the Patriots should trade Rob Gronkowski. I thought about entertaining this idea and trying to play both sides of the argument, but it is just too outlandish of an idea to play along. Let...

Gronkowski Update: Tight End has surgery on forearm

On the face of things, this weekend couldn't have gone much better for the New England Patriots. A comfortable victory to get the play-offs started over the Houston Texans, preceded by an upset in the form of the Baltimore Ravens win over the Denver Broncos, meaning another game at Gillette, with everything on the line. However, there is a big smear on the weekend. When Rob...

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is headed for another surgery on his broken left arm and will miss the remainder of the postseason.Fantasy Spin:Although it should be a huge blow to the offense, the team has averaged 34 points and 417 yards in the five games Gronkowski was sidelined. The Patriots had to be pleased with how healthy the team was heading into the playoffs. Just one game later, the picture has changed considerably. Wes Welker Has Most to Prove as Tom Brady, Patriots Look to Return to Super Bowl Without Rob Gronkowski

On Sunday afternoon, with Rob Gronkowski and his injured forearm in the locker room and Danny Woodhead having long left the field, Wes Welker was still going. He had six catches for 120 yards at the half, and he finished the game with eight catches for 131 yards. It wasn’t like many people noticed, though, with everything else that was happening. On a day that saw key injuries...

Rob Gronkowski’s Injury Will Be Tough to Overcome, But Aaron Hernandez, Brandon Lloyd Give Patriots Hope

FOXBORO, Mass. — Replacing Tom Brady is a near impossible feat — the Patriots came to that harsh realization during the 2008 season — but filling the shoes of Rob Gronkowski will be just as challenging. Gronkowski, who missed five games with a broken forearm earlier this season, reportedly reinjured the arm during Sunday’s win, and is expected to be lost for the rest of the...

Ravens to face Patriots

Rematches seem to be the theme of the AFC playoffs. After New England’s 41-28 thrashing of the Houston Texans Sunday evening, the Ravens will face the team that beat them last season in the AFC Championship Game. The Ravens lost 23-20 when Lee Evans dropped what would have been the game-winning touchdown and Bilyl Cundiff missed a game-tying field goal. The team is out for revenge...
