Patriots may rid themselves of both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker

Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe believes  both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker likely won’t be back with the Patriots next season.  And I agree with him. It’s been obvious for a while now that Wes Welker is likely done in New England.  If they place the franchise tag on him for a second straight season, it will cost them $11.4 million for the 2013 season.  They can’t afford him to eat up that much cap space and they’re not going to give him the long-term extension he’s looking for.
