Found April 17, 2012 on The Sport Mentalist:

The NFL released team schedules on Tuesday and according to the strength of schedule for all 32 teams, the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers will have the two easiest schedules for the 2012 season.
Strength of schedule really doesn’t mean so much in terms of a team’s chances of making it to the Super Bowl since it is only an indicator of how many wins a team’s combined opponents had during the regular season of the previous year. The 2009 season was proof of that. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE »

Rodgers relieved to avoid Madden cover

Well, Aaron Rodgers will not grace the cover of the Madden 13 video game. But more important, the Green Bay Packers MVP quarterback believes he may have avoided the curse that sometimes comes with it. On his Twitter account Wednesday morning, Rodgers tweeted: "Thanks to all our packer fans that voted for and against me in the madden voting! Happy Wednesday! CurseAvoided"...

Aaron Rodgers avoids Madden Curse….and tweets his joy

I would rather see Rodgers do silly modeling shots like this than to EVER be on the Madden Cover.   As you may or may not know, Aaron Rodgers was once again in the running to be on the next Madden cover. Thankfully, he did not win. The finalists are Calvin Johnson (Detroit) and Cam Newton (Carolina).  Sucks to be these dudes. I mean, Cam……you are already inducted into the NFL...

Titans' season kicks off vs. Tom Brady, Patriots

The Tennessee Titans have two prime time, nationally televised games in 2012 at LP Field: on Thursday, Oct. 11, against Pittsburgh and on Monday, Dec. 17 against the Jets. It is the second straight season that the Titans will play the Steelers, handing the Titans one of their worst losses, 38-17, in 2011 during Tennessees 9-7 campaign. One of the most exciting games will be the...

Best. Sports. Headline. Ever. ‘Patriots Beat Cocks’ (pic)

There is not really much that needs to be added to that brilliant headline to interject humor, other than I’m just relieved the story wasn’t about a slumber party at Tom Brady’s house that went horribly, horribly awry as it entered dreadfully inappropriate territory. But seriously, is it possible that no one at The Patriot [...]

New England Patriots helmet, uniform concept design

A number of designers have taken their shot at redesigning the New England Patriots helmets and uniforms to their liking. Could you imagine Tom Brady, Stevan Ridley, or Wes Welker wearing something like this?Featured are a number of New England Patriots helmets and uniform designs. Some are interesting options that fans may like and others may strike a nerve with some fans.

Colts schedule breakdown

Paul Kuharsky breaks down the upcoming schedule for the new era Colts: The games outside the AFC South that appear most challenging at this stage are spread out, which should be a good thing. After opening at the Bears, they host the Packers on Oct. 7, travel to New England for a Nov. 18 game and visit Detroit Dec. 2. They get to prepare for Jay Cutler in the preseason, Aaron...

Justin Blackmon, Dontari Poe Among List Of Possible 2012 NFL Draft Busts

If the NFL draft were an easy science, guys like JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf would have been avoided like the plague, while Tom Brady would have been selected 198 picks earlier than anyone could have imagined in 2000. But such is life. The problem with these mistakes, though, is they carry an immensely high profile, and they cost NFL franchises millions upon millions of dollars...

Gonzalez Glad To Be A Patriot

The Patriots added Anothony Gonzalez as a option at receiver. Known for catching passes from one future Hall of Famer, Peyton Manning, Gonzalez is looking forward to catching some from another -- Tom Brady.

Green Bay Packers schedule out, three of first four at Lambeau

In 2012, the Green Bay Packers find themselves in one of the biggest match-ups of week one, as last year’s #1 seed in the NFC will take on an NFC finalist in the San Francisco 49ers. After that scintillating on paper contest the Pack host the rival Chicago Bears in week two on a Thursday night. After a week three trip to Seattle, to battle the Seahawks on Monday night, the Packers...

The Madden 13 Cover Vote Final 4

As predicted on in late March here, #11 seed Patrick Willis and #6 seed Calvin Johnson have cruised to a couple of upset victories in the Madden 13 Cover Vote bracket and are now sitting in the Final Four. They have a tough road ahead of them as Willis faces #1 seed Cam Newton and Johnson faces #1 seed Aaron Rodgers. Newton won in a landslide over Larry Fitzgerald...

Packers Schedule Preview

The Green Bay Packers have the second-easiest schedule in the NFL this season. This article "makes a funny" about Kim. Their 2012 opponents had a combined winning percentage of just .469 last season — the second-lowest only to New England’s opponents (.453) — the Packers open with two games in five days against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 9 and the Chicago Bears...
