Just like yesterday, the Patriots practiced on the Gillette Stadium field, doing so in helmets-and-shells. Coach Bill Belichick called it a good day of work and said he hoped for the same today. What did we see out there? The same five players who were out yesterday were also missing today. QB Tom Brady, nursing a sprained left shoulder, was tops on that list, and he’s making good use of the rest. In addition, WR Wes Welker, G Logan Mankins, OT Sebastian Vollmer, and OT Marcus Cannon. Joining them was RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who was off the Injury Report last week with his toe healed. No injury report this week, so we may not know details… Oh, and as-expected, OC Bill O’Brien, who is interviewing at Penn St. today, was not present.

Tom Brady enjoyed Jets' demise

The Patriots quarterback admitted he kept tabs on the New York Jets' miserable season from afar, that he was happy the Pats swept them but then said he's not counting them out next season.

Brady Wins AFC Offensive Player of the Month

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees may be front runners for NFL MVP honors but Tom Brady's been no slouch this season. Rodgers led his team to a 15-1 record and Brees broke Dan Marino's 27-year-old single-season passing record, but Brady was the only AFC quarterback to throw for more than 5,000 yards. He also led the Pats to a 13-3 record, including eight in a row to end the regular...

Josh McDaniels is next to argue at Tom Brady

According to Adam Schefter, the Patriots will bring McDaniels back as an offensive assistant coach effective immediately and make him the likely successor to O'Brien next year. The move is a lateral one for McDaniels who was the offensive coordinator for this year's St. Louis Rams. After failing to make Sam Bradford not injury-prone, he has decided Tom Brady is his fail...

Final Thoughts On 2011

As we head towards the post-season, I want to take a step back and look at everything that happened in the NFL in the 2011 season. We saw Drew Brees and Tom Brady topple a record that few thought would ever be touched, the Indianapolis went from boom to bust with the injury of their star quarterback, and a star in Denver seemed to rise only before fizzling at the end of the season...

Could Josh McDaniels Return to the New England Patriots in 2012?

In  2007 the New England Patriots produced one of the most dominating offensive performances in NFL history. The ‘07 Patriots broke numerous records, including Tom Brady’s remarkable 50 touchdown passes as well asRandy Moss’ single season record of 23 touchdown receptions. All of those accolades were accomplished under the watch and playcalling of offensive coordinator...

The Patriots held practice today at Gillette Stadiumm and they did so without offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, who spent the day interviewing at Penn State for their vacant head coach position. The players shrugged it off, saying nothing changed during the workout. Skeptics point to quarterback Tom Brady being the man who runs the offense and say nothing will change but that’s...
