It sounds like Danny Woodhead's injury situation is not as serious as initially believed. Woodhead was knocked out of action on the first play of Sunday's win over the Houston Texans. He immediately retreated to the locker room and was later seen on the sidelines with his thumb wrapped. Woodhead did not return to the field, but coach Bill Belichick said that he could have played if needed. "Had we needed to use him, he would have been available to go back in there," Belichick said. "Now that we are into a new week, we will re-address the whole situation and try to get a good feel of what he would and wouldn’t be available to do, and how functional he would be doing it." Bill Belichick Quiet On Status Of Patriots DE Chandler Jones

Head coach Bill Belichick was charactetistically mum in discussing any potential injury to rookie defensive end Chandler Jones. Jones did not play for much of the second half in New England's 41-28 victory over Houston on Sunday. "We do the same thing with every player," Belichick said. "The guys that came in for treatment today, we'll take a look at them...

Belichick, Patriots await Gronkowski update

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is providing no update on injured tight end Rob Gronkowski. Belichick said during a conference call Monday that he had nothing to add to his comments following New England's 41-28 win over the Houston Texans in a divisional playoff game Sunday. He said then he wasn't sure if Gronkowski had broken his arm. Gronkowski needs season-ending surgery...

Belichick: End of half a point of emphasis vs. Ravens

The final minutes -- or just minute -- of each half will be at a premium when the New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens Sunday in the AFC Championship game. After jumping out to a pretty nice 17-3 lead with just over three minutes to go in the second quarter of a victory over the Houston Texans last week, the Patriots allowed the Texans to score 10 points inside the two...

Patriots Add Former Chiefs OC Brian Daboll To Their Coaching Staff

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick announced on Monday that they will be adding former Chiefs OC Brian Daboll to their coaching staff. This is very similar to what they did last year when they signed Josh McDaniels as an assistant after he was let go by the Rams. Daboll spent time as the Patriots’ WRs coach for several years. He’s worked as an offensive coordinator for the...

Bill Belichick gives indistinct injury update on Chandler Jones

When asked today by the media for an injury update on Patriots' DE Chandler Jones' ankle, Bill Belichick gave a very vague statement that unfortunately didn't say much on Jones' status. Patriots Bring Back Coach Brian Daboll in Unspecified Role

The Kansas City Chiefs’ house cleaning might be the Patriots’ gain. With offensive coordinator Brian Daboll having been fired in K.C., the former Patriots defensive assistant and wide receivers coach is returning to New England, according to ESPN. Head coach Bill Belichick said that, for now, Daboll will help the team similarly to Josh McDaniels role last postseason, possibly...

Brian Daboll’s Return to Patriots, Raises Eyebrows About Futures of Josh McDaniels, Bill Belichick

Patriots Fan Gets the Worst Tattoo Ever

I'm not one for adorning my body with tattoos for the sports teams I love but hey, that's what works for some people. There's bad tattoos and then there are BAD tattoos, this one is HORRENDOUS. First off, it looks like Pat...

Doc Rivers Watched Patriots’ Win Over Texans From Bill Belichick’s Luxury Box, Showed His Superstitious Side

BOSTON — When Doc Rivers leaves the basketball arena or practice court, he passes straight into the realm of fandom. With the Celtics, Rivers is a rational individual who understands that winning and losing has everything to do with the gameplan and execution, and nothing to do with whether he wears his lucky tie or took the same route to work as he did the last time the Celtics...
