The New England Patriots have re-signed running back and return man Leon Washington, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN. Washington, who was cut last week, fills out the Patriots 53-man roster.  He worked out for the New York Jets before being brought back by New England. Last season, Washington tied Josh Cribbs’ NFL record for most punt return touchdowns with eight as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. Washington has amassed 2,213 rushing yards, 1,127 receiving yards, 1,668 punt return yards and 6,315 kick return yards over his seven-year career.
