Hours after Aaron Hernandez was taken into custody from his home by Massachusetts State Police, the 23-year-old was released by the New England Patriots. Hernandez is linked to a homicide investigation of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semipro football player in Massachusetts. Last summer the Patriots gave Hernandez a 5-year, $40 million dollar contract. It’s still unclear if the Patriots will be able to get out of Hernandez’s contract. We will keep you updated this page as things arise.
