The New England Patriots released defensive lineman Amon Gordon today. Gordon was originally signed by New England on April 21, 2010. The 6-foot-2, 305-pounds Gordon entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft choice of the Cleveland Browns in 2004 out of Stanford. He has also spent time with the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans. Gordon was signed by Philadelphia on Jan. 21, 2009 but was waived on Aug. 11 and spent the year out of football.
