It’s official. The Patriots’ 2009 draft was a bust. The Patriots released defensive tackle Myron Pryor on Thursday, according to Tom E Curran of CSNNE.com, leaving just two remaining member of that 2009 draft class on the Patriots’ roster. Pryor was a sixth-round pick out of Kentucky, who made a strong impression as a depth option on the Patriots’ defensive line during his first few seasons in New England. But injuries derailed his promising young career, sidelining him for 14 games in 2011 and all of the 2012 season. He recorded 34 tackles, one forced fumble and one sack in 23 total games over three seasons with the Patriots. Pryor marks the 10th member of the 12 person draft class to move on from New England. The only remaining members of that draft class are offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (2nd Round, 58th overall) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (7th Round, 232nd) – both were re-signed this offseason. The rest of the Patriots’ 2009 draft class looks something like this: 2nd Round, 34th overall: Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon — signed with Philadelphia Eagles 2nd Round, 40th: Ron Brace, DT, Boston College — signed with Washington Redskins 2nd Round, 41st: Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut — re-signed with Indianapolis Colts 3rd Round, 83rd: Brandon Tate, WR, North Carolina — played 16 games for Cincinnati Bengals in 2012 3rd Round, 97th: Tyrone McKenzie, LB, South Florida — played 16 games for Minnesota Vikings in 2012 4th Round, 123rd: Rich Ohrnberger, OL, Penn State — played 13 games for San Diego chargers in 2012 5th Round, 170th: George Bussey, OL, Louisville — Bussey was last in training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011 6th Round, 198th: Jake Ingram, LS, Hawaii — last played for New Orleans Saints in 2010 7th Round, 234th: Darryl Richard, DT, Georgia Tech — was on the Patriots practice squad from 2009 to 2011 Have a question for Luke Hughes?
