The Patriots announced that they have released veteran offensive lineman Mark LeVoir.
Originally signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame in 2006, LeVoir joined the Patriots in 2008 after he was claimed off waivers from the St. Louis Rams.
The 6-foot-7, 310-pound LeVoir started two of the 32 games he appeared in for the Patriots over the last three seasons and was due $690,000 in base salary in the final year of his contract.
