New England Patriots safety Patrick Chung spent Monday evening playing tag, skipping and practicing kickoffs at Gillette Stadium.
Is this the new defensive plan for the Patriots?
Not exactly.
Monday evening, Gillette Stadium was filled with more than 300 caregivers, parents and children to participate in the Stop & Shop “Healthy Kids Summit” and leading the on-the-field obstacle course was Patrick Chung. The purpose of the Summit is to educate families on nutrition and exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The free event included a panel discussion that included moderator Julie Menounos, RD, LD-N, Stop & Shop’s first in-store nutritionist, Ed Hurley, president of the Hockomock Area YMCA, Julianna Valcour, RD, Med, school nutrition policy consultant for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Patrick Chung who offered some...

Devin McCourty's Switch to Safety Could Finally Tie the Patriots' Struggling Secondary Together
Even after nearly fumbling the game away for the Patriots, Devin McCourty still earned rare praise from Bill Belichick.
Injuries to starting safeties Patrick Chung and Steve Gregory thrust McCourty into a starting spot at free safety on Sunday against the Jets, a role he played late last season after multiple players tried -- and failed -- to grasp the position...

Around the NFL: Week 8
With six teams on a bye, week seven was three games short of a full complement of games. Where the games lacked in number, they made up for in suspense.
During the week, 13 games were played. Of those 13 games, 11 were decided by one score.
Two went into overtime, one was decided by a single point, and another was decided by the white paint that lines the back end of the end zone...

Poll: Are Patriots fans getting too negative?
After the Patriots subpar start to the season, some fans are ready to throw themselves off a cliff.Everyone has gotten play in the blame game - from Bill Belichick to the secondary to the pass rush to Brandon Lloyd to even Tom Brady. With a 4-3 record and some devastating losses, I think this team deserves criticism. Some people disagree. What say you, Patriot fan?Are fans getting...
Bill Belichick changes hoodies
Belichick switched up hoodies at half time. Not according to NESN, who points out that Belichick was actually breaking league rules by not sporting NFL licensed apparel. My theory is he saw that the Patriots were sucking and wanted to bust out the grey good luck charm. It worked! They won!
At the Cross Roads? Which direction are the Patriots heading to?
Surprisingly, the New England Patriots are first in their division with record of four wins and three losses, after yesterday’s defeat of their division rival New York Jets. Though they originally were expected to have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL, their wins haven’t come easy, and their losses were games that they practically gave away. Here are some early stats...

Visanthe Shiancoe Excited About Return to Practice Field, Ready to Contribute for Patriots
Visanthe Shiancoe hadn't stepped onto the football field for the Patriots this season. That changed Tuesday afternoon.
The 32-year-old tight end has been on short-term injured reserved with an undisclosed injury since the Patriots first signed him back on Sept. 5. But on Tuesday, the nine-year veteran finally returned the practice field, and he couldn't...
Patriots Must Improve
The New England Patriots are 4-3 and look like a very mediocre football team right now.
“The Patriots are one of the best teams in the NFL”, well at least that is what everyone was saying before the season started. After the week one beat down of the Tennessee Titans, it looked like those people were correct, but since then it has been a different...

People Realize Gronk and Hernandez Aren't 100% Yet, Right?
There is a story line going around this week that "the Patriots offense isn't what it used to be." Ummm, do people remember what we were saying after Week 1? When we had all our guys healthy and we completely eviscerated the Titans? We were talking about how this was the best offense since 2007, and it may be even better than that, remember? The attention span of our...
