The New England Patriots have signed third-round draft pick Duron Harmon. The safety taken with the 91st overall pick was one of three Rutgers players chosen by the Patriots in last month's draft. They also took cornerback Logan Ryan in the third round with the 83rd pick and inside linebacker Steve Beauharnais in the seventh round with the 235th pick. Harmon had five interceptions as a junior in 2011 then made 50 tackles while starting all 13 games as a senior in 2012. Rutgers went 9-4 last season.

“We have been informed by the New England Patriots that Kyle Love will be released NFI (Non-Football Injury/Illness). This comes on the heels of Kyle having been diagnosed within the past two weeks with Type-2 diabetes. Naturally, we are disappointed that the Patriots decided to part ways with Kyle, especially in light of the fact that a number of elite professional athletes with...

Julian Edelman may not be a lock to make the Patriots 53-man roster

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com doesn’t believe that wide receiver Julian Edelman is a lock to make the Patriots’ final 53-man roster this season. I have to agree with Reiss.  It seems like Edelman has what it takes to be a difference maker, but he’s either been overshadowed by other receivers or gets injured at the worst possible time.  He was having a strong season in 2012...

Can Aaron Dobson Break Belichick's Bad Luck at Receiver?

With the 59th overall pick in this year's NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected six-foot-three-inch Aaron Dobson, a wide receiver out of Marshall.  The selection of a wide receiver was viewed as a need, especially having lost Tom Brady's favorite target over the past five years, Wes Welker, to free agency.  Belichick has had mixed results in the past when it comes...

Tommy Kelly Says Playing Next to Vince Wilfork Was Key Reason for Signing With Patriots

After nine season with the Raiders, Tommy Kelly has found new life in New England. The veteran defensive tackle was signed by the Patriots in April with hopes that he can help the team generate some pressure in the middle of the defense. Kelly said playing next to Vince Wilfork was a key reason for signing in New England. “You get to the end of your career, you get the opportunity...

Donald Jones Says Playing With Tom Brady Is ‘Dream Come True,’ But Doesn’t Want to Sound Starstruck

Not many wide receivers can say they’ve played with a quarterback on the same level as Tom Brady. Donald Jones definitely can’t, though. The new Patriots wide receiver took a strange route to the NFL that had him going from junior college at Lackawanna College to FCS-level ball at Youngstown State to the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. That means Jones played with junior college...

Danny Amendola Goes Unrecognized by New Englanders in New Foot Locker Commercial (Video)

Danny Amendola hasn’t been in New England very long, so it might take locals some time to get to know the new Patriots receiver. The ad features Amendola running through a park while trying to convince...

FOXBORO, Mass. – Shane Vereen wasn’t much of a hockey fan growing up. Moving to Boston has changed that for him. Vereen grew up in Valencia, Calif., about 30 minutes outside of Los Angeles, but he never really became all that enamored with the LA Kings or the sport in general. But, when the Patriots drafted him in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft, Vereen was thrown right...

Freeney visited the Patriots about two months ago now. He still hasn't signed with a team. He recently visited with the Chargers as he continues to make his rounds around the NFL.
