Patriots Sign C Eric Ghiaciuc

The New England Patriots have signed veteran lineman Eric Ghiaciuc. Ghiaciuc has played in 48 career games with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2005-2008 but he did not see the field last season. "Eric has some flexibility, he's played the inside positions [of center and guard] and has been in the league, so he has a little more experience there," Belichick said. "We felt with the preseason games coming up, and where our team is, that he would have a little bit more opportunity."
