The New England Patriots have signed defensive end Trevor Scott and cornerback Marquice Cole.
The team announced the free agent signings on Monday.

Cole, undrafted by the New York Jets out of Northwestern in 2009, started one of 37 games he played there in three seasons, and had two interceptions.

The New England Patriots made a splash in free agency by inking wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to a three-year contract. And the addition of Lloyd only strengthens the Patriots already potent passing attack. New England tried to make a similar splash last year when they brought in veteran receiver Chad Ochocinco. That particular move did not go as planned. Ochocinco had just 15 catches...
New England Patriots Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins suffered a late season knee injury which kept him out of the season finale; however, it got even worse. During the Super Bowl Mankins tore his ACL and continued to play.
According to NFL sources, Mankins had off-season surgery to repair the knee and hopes not miss any training camp or pre-season time.
Mankins, who is the Patriots...
If Patriots fans are looking for an excuse as to why the Giants’ pass rush was able to dominate New England’s offensive line in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, Logan Mankins has provided them with a decent one. Before you rip me apart for being a Giants hater, I’m not saying it is an excuse and the Patriots would have won otherwise, but it certainly didn’t help. According...
According to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, New England Patriots guard Logan Mankins ended up undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL after Super Bowl XLVI.
Mankins will likely not be ready for mini camp and training camp. That’s why the Patriots ended up signing free agent guard Robert Gallery on Monday.

Bill Belichick is in a rare spot for the 2012 draft
One of the biggest running jokes of the Bill Belichick era for the New England Patriots is that Bill Belichick does not ever use his draft picks. Basically, the Patriots have two picks in the first round, they will likely take three players in the second round and third round and turn one of those first round picks into a first...
The Patriots are collecting undersized wide receivers to the extent that quarterback Tom Brady might soon be able to claim a "Smurfs" sequel.
Brandon Lloyd will quickly learn that Tom Brady is nobody’s puppet in New England!
Check out Brandon having a little fun with a Tom Brady puppet prior to announcing that he would be joining the New England Patriots. Like all the players on New England’s offense, Tom will use Mr. Lloyd as his puppet when orchestration next years Super Bowl run. Thanks to @lindocohn for the pic.
The Patriots already have some pretty good depth at tight end with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez providing them with a dynamic duo at the position. However, it looks like they're about to bolster their depth at that position. The Boston Herald reports that free-agent tight end Daniel Fells will visit the Patriots on Monday, and he's expected to sign a contract to join...
According to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, the New England Patriots have signed free agent offensive lineman Robert Gallery.
Gallery spent last season with the Seattle Seahawks after playing seven years with the Oakland Raiders.
The Patriots also signed free agent wide receiver Dante Stallworth to a one-year deal. He played for the Redskins in 2011.
I’m not the surprised...
